Well, Aenima is harder (for me anyways, I've never attempted it). I'd start looking for another person to do Aenima, it'd take me a good while to learn it with my limited playing time.

You should do Lateralus because I don't think we can use JoZ's track can we? And if we can then we have a finished instrumental right there.

I think the whole cover competition has died off, so I don't think we have to worry about deadlines any more. Metalhead 617, the guy that was running it, left for 3 weeks on vacation. :shrug: So yeah, no worries about hurrying guys. :)

Opeth and Rage Against the Machine planned on doing covers, but that didn't work out for either thread. I think Maiden plan on doing some covers, but other than that, I've not heard about anyone else. :-/ I'll bump the rules thread.

JoZ did get the ball rolling on this entire thing though. it was him posting his little bit of Disposition that started off the masses of bass tracks he uploaded. Then it all went from there.

Use Lateralus 2 as a backing. There's enough problems* over timing already.

It wouldnt be possible, unless you change the key of the song, which means you'll probably lose the mode, and it wont sound as angry.

You could try doing it an octave higher. I did that with Mastodon songs. Oh boy, was that bad.

There's guitar on Lateralus 2?.. If it's chris' guitar, it isn't done yet.. So if you record bass, could you do it on a track by itself so it can be mixed in without having to redo everything whenever there's a change?

Mastodon don't down tune. They do a wierd type of drop tuning. Instead of it being drop D, they drop the 6 string to A to make an octave powerchord. At least that's what I've seen on some tabs and such..
