Unless she's hot and will put out, can her.
Just kidding. |
Meh, she gets the boot if she doesn't get it together fast.
|
Do it now and save yourself the trouble. She's had more than enough chances and you sound rather convinced that she's gone anyway....why wait another two weeks for seemingly unecessary affirmation?
|
Legit.
Singers tend to do that.
My singer is also one of my guitar players and one of the primary songwriters. It's not really an issue. |
My singer is actually our main promoter and is constantly pushing for more practices.
Our show last night would have gone much better if I had the ability to hear myself. My amp would not work for some reason or another (maybe a bad cable somewhere?), so I had to DI into the FOH mix with nothing but vocals coming through the monitors. I was, consequentally, also without a tuner and forced to play in drop D through ALL of our songs. A girl in the audience recorded the video, and it's not bad. I'm rather sloppy at times, and I can only partially blame it on transcribing on the fly and a lack of amp....I definitely should have done better. I'd still rate myself a 6-7/10, though, which is good. |
My bassist just got a new amp.
Warwick Wamp 200 or something head. It came with some Yorkville 1x15 cab, but he's going to sell it for an Ampeg... I forget which cab he said he was going to get. It sounds awesome as is, though. |
It's been painful playing shows with her. She hasn't really improved since we've started playing with her. She's almost out of chances, but she's definitely not playing this next show with us. Unless, by some freak miracle, she can get these songs down in the next two and a half weeks.
please don't tell me you are planning on playing a show instrumentally. or worse yet, with your bassist singing again. |
lol why would i ever sing for a band like capital h
i have no desire to carry them to being good |
which i could very well do make no mistake about it
let me A) record capital H B) produce capital H C) sing for capital H D) write all of capital H's songs and you'll be great |
also lemme play all the instruments on the album
|
Tactus H

Tune through what, the PA? That's tacky. Besides, I tune about 3 or 4 times, and a couple of times, it's when our songs run together live, so the guitarist has stuff going on that I wouldn't dare play over. I really just need to figure out why my rig wasn't working. |

You should spend money on a pedal tuner for such situations. OR failing that, a $30 chromatic.
|
Yeah man, or have just turned your volume down on the amp and bodyamped it for some harmonic tuning.
|

Damnit. I wasn't logged on to MSN or anything. Had no idea you were on. >_< |

I think you missed the part where my amp wasn't working. I was plugged directly into the DI box and nothing else. The amp was apparently just heavy sh*t that I carried on stage for show. :upset: That stage is cursed. |
Oh sorry, I made a mistake typing. I meant to say turn the volume pot on your bass down and then tune by ear and bodyamping.
Hate when **** doesn't work though hey. My amp has never crapped out on me but I have lost power mid-song due to sound guys arsing around behind the equipment and pulling out the AC lead accidentally. Retards. |
My amp is heavy. Anything in this world that can be called heavy must be compared with my amp.
|
What's it weigh?
I have a pretty lightweight rig, I can carry my bass, amp and cab comfortably all at once. It's mega convenient. |

I'd hazard a guess at over 45kg. And I have another cab as well. |
Damn man, that is seriously heavy stuff.
My cab and head together weigh in at about 35kg. |

too bad, you missed it. |

Ah well. Less hassle than a drum kit.

That's very true. I used to play drums. Although you do learn to be very quick after a while. |
