I heard some stuff off Hail to England, and it was so much better then everything off Kings of Metal.

So Dragonland>Dragonforce. I don't suspect any opposition to that statement.

None whatever

BludgeonySteve 02-25-2008 12:44 AM

I admire Dragonforce for having a completely unique lead guitar style, but I think the guys from Dragonland are even better lead guitarists. Solo at the end of As Madness Took Me, anyone?

1338 h4x0r 02-25-2008 12:46 AM

I don't have that, but I'll assume it's great

Shadows Within 02-25-2008 01:27 AM

i can't find any damn dragonland but the stuff i've heard was pretty sik if a little generic.

keyboardist was good.

99% of power metal is at least a little generic. Dragonland definitely have their own sound if you become a serious fan.

I like Kings of Metal way more than Hail to England. Fighting the World is better than both however.

So, I just got into Freedom Call; and they're pretty cheesy, but oh so awesome.

CityOfEvil 02-25-2008 07:21 PM

I love them. Which album did you take?

Poet 02-25-2008 07:23 PM

I didn't pick up or download an album (1. I am 17 with no job. 2. my computer sucks monkey balls). I just listened to songs off of projectplaylist.com.

CityOfEvil 02-25-2008 07:24 PM

Okay. Well, which songs did you listen to?

Riva 02-25-2008 07:25 PM

If you're 17 you should get a job.

And Freedom Call are great, yes.

Poet 02-25-2008 07:28 PM
Okay. Well, which songs did you listen to?
Call of Fame, The Wanderer, The Quest, and Flying High. All are awesome.
If you're 17 you should get a job.
Eh, too much going on with school to get one.

CityOfEvil 02-25-2008 07:29 PM

The only one I heard of these is Flying high and it's awesome. Can't stop listen to it. All songs on Eternity are amazing IMO.

Up to you, but it does give you a degree of independence. Plus I graduated in the top 5% of my state with a part-time job of 15-16 hours a week. If you manage your time well and do subjects/extra-curricular stuff that you enjoy, it is very possible.
If you manage your time well
 I have the worst time management possible. I have a paper due Friday, and I have to give an oral book presentation on Thursday, and I haven't even started the paper yet. I also have only read one chapter of the book.

I also find it a hardship because I don't have a car to go to that job if I got one :(.

As for power metal, I have been playing The Wanderer by Freedom Call for like 15 straight minutes now (approx. 3 times in a row)

CityOfEvil 02-25-2008 07:56 PM

Never listen to it, but if you can, listen to The Eyes of the World, Metal Invasion and Tears Falling. Three are awesome.

Riva needs to remember that not everyone is as amazing as he is.

Pretty sure there's heaps of people who do lol

And which version did you get?
I have the one minus Greenface, the acoustic When The Eagle Cries and also Star-Spangled Banner but then it has Gettysburg 1863 on it :)
