We are the ones with time on our hands.

fatbandit 04-09-2005 07:49 AM

I want a Ric 5, with Lightwave pickups... But I still want the Pickup cover, because it looks funkay... Hmm. That would be beautiful... But I think I'd rather have my JP custom!

Bedrovelse 04-09-2005 07:50 AM

im 18

Thunder Fingers 04-09-2005 07:51 AM

psh.. the only ESP i like is the Surveyor II.. when i bought the geddy, it was beetwen the geddy, the surveyor II, a rick and A Stingray... the geddy got choosed becouse it was the cheapest, and now that i have played it for some months it probaly was the best choice, i like the MM's neck, but as i discovered thursday, i didnt like the sound....

Ultra Famicon (Ultra Nes) :p.

Thunder Fingers 04-09-2005 07:52 AM

when we get older, we might not be that much on anymore... hell in 4 months, you barely gonna see me anymore i guess...

fatbandit 04-09-2005 07:53 AM

I think the Ric has horrible sound. How much of that is the pickups?

I love Burton with all my heart, and I would never diss his playing, but his tone... Eww. Also, how did he record Anesthesia using a 20 fret bass?

When I start my exams, I'll be around less.

I should be revising right now.

Radiobass81 04-09-2005 07:53 AM

Eddie: Have you played this one? And what makes you like the Surveyor II more?

Thunder Fingers 04-09-2005 07:54 AM

the maple fretboard and the fender looks :p

How can you not love the Ric clang :(?

fatbandit 04-09-2005 07:54 AM

Dude, in 4 months, I'm gonna be on summer holiday, and just relaxing. Taking a break from doing my GCSEs for two years. I can't wait to finish 'em. Just two pieces of coursework to do, and one subject to drop, then some hardcore revision cramming in the 2 weeks of exams... ^_^

*punk_rock_sophie* 04-09-2005 07:55 AM

same as me! ^^^

fatbandit 04-09-2005 07:55 AM

The Ric Clang.. its very vintage sounding, I guess. I'm much more into the 'thump' and just low end of bass.

Radiobass81 04-09-2005 07:56 AM

I see.

Well, I dislike maple fingerboards for the most part, and I don't mind an ESP having an ESP look :p.

I do wish it had an active/passive switch, tho.

Boo AS levels though.

Once you've done them, its back to school to start the A Level part.

BTBs don't have much thump, to my knowledge.

Then again, a Roland can do it all :).

Well I've done no project work in Graphics, and missed the deadline to submit it. I really need to see about dropping it. The only way might be to pay for the exam (as the reason I couldn't drop it when I asked was because the school already paid to enter me for it), which I wouldn't mind doing, for the sake of having no Graphics...

There should be a prize for brand loyalty you know...

Thunder Fingers 04-09-2005 07:58 AM

in style of basses, i realy prefer the Classics... i dont need such high end 1001 knob basses..... if i wanna change my sound i will use pedals and eq'ing...

NoooooOoOOoooOOoo!

Why didn't you do any work?

fatbandit 04-09-2005 07:59 AM

Dude, BTBs do *everything*. Don't underestimate. They are mid-range monsters at heart, I think, but the rumble you can get off that... And also, the amount of EQ I get from the Roland and from the onboard EQ is more than adequate. Definitely ain't no 'Ric-o-Sound' though...
