I like Powerslave the best. Number of the Beast also has a lot of classics on it though Children of the ****ed, The Prisoner, The Number of the Beast, Run to the Hills, and Hallowed be thy Name. Tied with Number of the Beast for me would be Iron Maiden. Iron Maiden, Prowler, Phantom of the Opera are all awesome.
ah yes, someone that agrees with me :thumb: oh and you crag, i also like BNW, infact, there isnt an album i DONT like :thumb:

I think the self-titled is very underrated.
I think the self-titled is very underrated.
quite a lot of there albums are underrated, except for NOTB which in my oppinion is way overrated

Queeter 09-17-2005 01:34 PM
quite a lot of there albums are underrated, except for NOTB which in my oppinion is way overrated
I agree its overrated, but people disregard it because of that. It has some great songs as do all their albums.

Artemician 09-17-2005 01:35 PM

Yeah, Number of the Beast wasn't near as amazing as some people put it out to be.

GenuineImitation 09-17-2005 01:58 PM
Yeah, Number of the Beast wasn't near as amazing as some people put it out to be.
It is a great album, but I agree with you. Some people blow the album out of proportion.

andyhainey 09-17-2005 01:59 PM

i know, if only they could see the true greatness of maiden

Queeter 09-17-2005 03:45 PM

I've never liked Killers that much. I don't know why. Its not bad at all I just like the other albums better. I don't like that many Piece of Mind songs either except the trooper.

Deth 09-17-2005 03:47 PM

I really like Piece Of Mind, but I think it's overrated as well. Sun And Steel and Quest For Fire are just weak, and To Tame A Land, IMO, is the weakest "epic" Maiden''s written (besides the Nomad).
i'm not to fond of No Prayer For The Dying
NO prayer for the dying has so many great tracks

tailgunner
public enema number1
bring your daughter to the slaughter
holy smoke
hooks in you
the assasin

its actually one of my favorite maiden albums :p

Doctor Night 09-18-2005 04:00 AM
well...it isn't any more, since Death on the Road was released...
Abd thats another Greatest Hits type album
amarite?
Abd thats another Greatest Hits type album

no, its a live album

Lord Abortion 09-18-2005 06:24 AM
i'm not to fond of No Prayer For The Dying
Me neither, it's by far their weakest album IMO

-The Frank 09-18-2005 06:44 AM

^ for me the weakest maiden album would either pick virtual xi or fear of the dark

Lord Abortion 09-18-2005 06:46 AM

I think they arew also pretty weak comparitively...but I just don't like NPFTD that much, bar Tailgunner and The assassin.

-The Frank 09-18-2005 07:04 AM

i dont know, bring your daughter and public enema are sooo good that the whole album goes up in my rankings

DimebagDarrell 09-18-2005 07:55 AM

the actual song npftd is brillaint i quite like the album its not their worst but its not the best either.

-The Frank 09-18-2005 08:30 AM

123

crag 09-18-2005 08:37 AM

out of NPFTD i like Tailgunner (by far the best song on that album), Holy Smoke, title track and BYDTTS. the rest are just meh.

clairvoyant 09-18-2005 08:42 AM

I like the middle section of Tailgunner, Mother Russia, and The Assasin but thats about it.

crag 09-18-2005 09:53 AM
I like the middle section of Tailgunner, Mother Russia, and The Assasin but thats about it.
i'm not a fan of Mother Russia, The Assasin is growing on me but i still don't like it much :upset:

I'm with you on Piece of Mind. It gets the fewest plays out of the Maiden Albums I own.
I also think that Somewhere in Time is slightly underrated.

NP-Alexander the Great. :D

Lord Abortion 09-18-2005 11:03 AM

I actually dislike the TT on no prayer alot, it's too long winded and dragged out for me.

ashman 09-18-2005 12:08 PM

NPFD is great, the title track is excellent. Though it doesn't flow as much as most Maiden Songs do...

The Dark Philosopher 09-18-2005 12:11 PM

I was talking to my friend and he said Bruce hates the USA can anyone confirm?

He doesn't hate Americans, just the Comercialism and all that crap.

crag 09-18-2005 12:50 PM

he hates touring America does he not?

ashman 09-18-2005 12:52 PM

Yeah probably...

Lord Abortion 09-18-2005 12:58 PM

Wouldn't you?

especially at Ozzfest, with all the gay metalcore bands?

I wouldn't want to tour the US either after what happened. Can't blame him. However, hopefully he realizes there's another, far more metal, tour going on in the US I'm sure IM would be awesome at...

And I'm sure Dave would welcome them onto the tour.

Huber 09-18-2005 01:04 PM

Indeed. That'd be amazing.

If Maiden went on Gigantour next year, and Dream Theater was still with it, I'd kill to see it.

I learned part of Fear of the Dark today.
