I know, I wasn't trying to make fun of you listing your CD's. I think it's a good idea.

And the Led Zeppelin Box set is just the 4 disc one, not the complete studio recordings like I'm going to get soon.

thin lizzy thin lizzy thin lizzy!

the greatest unsung heroes of classic rock ever! phil lynotts perfect vocals and bass backed up by an everchanging line up, yet astounding line up, will always be the greatest that has ever lived!

c'mon the lizzy!

magicbus 10-29-2004 01:12 PM

If we're doing all the cds we have on the computer... Add every Zeppelin album, Saucerfull of Secrets, Neil Young - Harvest, Van Halen - best of vol 1, Yes - Fragile, and VU and Nico.

And I don't like Thin Lizzy.

Cream Team 10-29-2004 02:05 PM

I'm a huge classic rock fan. Although only 15, I got into this great genre of music when I was only 7. I did a classic rock report on The Who in 5th grade...they are now my favorite band. I recently joined a band that is solely classic rock based. I spend my time studying classic rock trivia...I'm better than most from that era. Some say I'm obsessed. I say "no," you just don't have a good taste in music or a good hobby or a true love of life...mine being classic rock.

Cream Team 10-29-2004 02:07 PM

Pete Townshend is the true classic rock unsung hero...his masterful writing skills, his legendary guitar riffs. Pete Townshend is a man for the ages...all ages.

BludgeonySteve 10-29-2004 02:08 PM

I have alot of cds which I don't feel like naming right now. Maybe later.

Woodstock 10-29-2004 02:11 PM

Naming your CD's is overrated.

If you want one, ask me.

I voted for Grateful Dead.

People have different tastes. :)

I think the Who are good, but nothing more than that.

sorry all...i got a little excited.
to i am jimmy page: yes, disraeli gears is better(album cover included)
to magicbus: i wasn't saying any thing against you

drugstore cowboy 10-29-2004 02:40 PM

Well, I love the Who, and I only have Tommy, Who's next, Who are You and the Who sings My Generation. Come to think of it, I don't even own that many classic rock albums..well, compared to some people I know..most of my exposure to it comes from downloading, and "borrowing" from my music teacher's collection...

speaking of which, I borrowed the Toronto Rocks "Sars stock" dvd..and I'm convinced that Charlie Watts is the coolest guy ever..he's the only one who actually acts his age...Ron Wood comes second, cause he's cool too...Keith Richards looked demonic at that concert...and Mick Jagger...yeah...I'm so bored right now, unemployed life has it's downsides..=p

Oh, I was looking at the Clapton Folder.

I have some Bluesbreakers Mp3s in that folder so it listed the bluesbreakers.

my bad.

On your second note, I'm very satisfied with my single who CD actually. I'm not planning on getting anymore unless i get them for my birthday or something.

Edit: Take Magicbus' advice, calm down.

Who Are You is overrated. I love the Who, but some of their stuff is not great. You don't need to own it all.

Fresh Cream has its own greatness to it, not the same as Disraeli Gears.

lunch998 10-29-2004 04:59 PM

Finally someone else has the Blind Faith CD. That's good stuff.

MalcolmYoungRock 10-29-2004 05:00 PM

I'm thinking about getting that CD also.

That solo in "Presence of the Lord" is insane with the wah.

It will not dissappoint. Had To Cry Today has such a cool riff too.

lunch998 10-29-2004 05:07 PM

Hey that crazy Ramones kid finally started a thread about them instead of coming in here and telling us they are the best classic rock band.

I even reviewed it.

Sorry. I can't keep up with all your reviews, you do like 2 a day. I've never heard anyone mention that CD though.

Edit: Just went to read the review, and you did a good job. I find the Bass solo in Do What You Like alittle dissappointing, that is my only problem with the song.

Cream Team 10-29-2004 05:15 PM

glad someone likes cream and clapton as well as the who....good man you are
speaking of blind faith, they are wonderful. can't find my way home is their signature song in my opinion

Even if you weren't referring to me, I do like all those bands. Very Much.

Badmoon 10-29-2004 05:21 PM

most the Classic Rock reviews are bad ones :(

And lately I have been doing one a week

Cream Team 10-29-2004 05:22 PM

lunch998- there should be more people like you in this world....you know, people who like the true big guns in rock: cream, the who, foghat, deep purple (foghat and deep purple don't get enough recognition for their phenomenal work)

Funny because I just got the best of Deep Purple (usually I'm against Best of's because I think they are stupid, but this time it was convenient and on sale.) Anyway they are really good, Ian Paice is one of my favorite classic rock drummers.

paice's talent doen't get recognized enough either...nor does jon lord (keyboards of deep purple) both are highly underrated

Badmoon 10-29-2004 05:32 PM

Come on! Almost each one of Purple's members is praised for their talent, even though not all of them completely deserve it.

It's not a competition.
