Does somebody have the "Unchain the Wolves" album? I've been looking for it on Soulseek and can't find it

Apocalyptic Raids 08-27-2005 06:29 AM

I know RCA does.

ThrashMaster27 08-27-2005 08:05 AM

So yeah, I took whoevers advice and got Mercyful Fate - Don't Break The Oath. Great album, but I also noticed something when I heard the first song 'A Dangerous Meeting'. I heard a familiar riff going on. I racked my brains for ages and then finally found it out. The riff at 4:10 is exactly the same as the riff at 2:40 on Return to Hangar.

Anyway, that was just a general thing. I was gonna buy the new Destruction album the other day, but it was $36, so I didn't bother with it.

Apocalyptic Raids 08-27-2005 08:15 AM

I need more Mercyful Fate. I've only got Melissa. My local store never seems to have much Fate/King Diamond.

Bloody Soulseek is pissing me off right now. Whenever I go to get place in line, it comes up with "0", and i have to manually start wach download by pressing "retry". Not to mention I'm trying to download Scum.

ThrashMaster27 08-27-2005 08:19 AM

Yeah, I only had Melissa aswell. I got one of them RR dual CD's, with Don't Break The Oath and Return of the Vampire on it.

I go to JB Hi-Fi in Melbourne and they have most Mercyful Fate and King Diamond releases there, so it's pretty good if you have the cash. It's tea in the cricket so I'm back listening to music.

I bet you're loving the cricket :upset:

I usually shop a JB-HIFI too. Usually they have either one of those RR packs. Never both though. They also always have the Dead/World Demise double and never the one I really want, Slowly We Rot/Cause Of Death.

ThrashMaster27 08-27-2005 08:38 AM

Yeah, we're going well. You guys are getting a pretty steady total going in the 2nd innings at the moment, though.

I reckon it probably depends on the state and outlet to the stuff you have. Luckily in Melbourne the guy ordering for the Metal section is a proper Metalhead. I don't really dig the band he's in (Contrive) but he knows his metal. He saw Overkill with Gustafson, so that's all I need to know.

:-o

I have used Utopia's online store a couple of times. I just ordered Powerslave for $18 from there. They post with express too.

Terrorzone 08-27-2005 10:34 AM

Man Megadeth slayed. Dream Theater put me to sleep. Dillinger made me hate them more. I wandered during Fear Factory. Nevemore was good. I was i I got my cd signed by the Megadeth. Although I don't remember the order, there setlist was Blackmail the Universe, Set the world on Fire, Skin o my Teeth, Kick the Chair, Holy Wars, Reckoning Day, Symphony of Destruction, Peace Sells, In my Darkest Hour, Die Dead Enough, Tornado of Souls, Trust.

metal-militia 08-27-2005 10:38 AM

Corporal Compendia 08-27-2005 01:07 PM

That news about Piggy is terrible. :( ****in' Cancer...man.

So here's what I expect you kids to do... put on your Voivod CDs/Tapes/MP3's/whatever you've got! And listen... listen until you can't listen anymore! Or at least for the rest of tonight.(We didn't have enough time yesterday when he passed away), and I expect you to do the same every August 26th!!!
I'll be doing just that and getting hammed at the same time! To honour the man of course. ;)

DimebagDarrell 08-27-2005 01:25 PM

Its a tragedy i will admit ive never been the biggest fan of voivod but i do know that there are plenty of people who are my heart goes out to his family and voivod this sucks right before my 18th birthday too :(

N.P. Voivod - Brain Scan

R.I.P. Piggy

Fucking balls, they're dropping like flies :(

RavenousMetalist87 08-27-2005 06:18 PM

Today was my good day too :upset:

Why did he have to go? Now I'm really going to feel...weird tonight knowing that a cool guy like him who made me more interest into Voivod when I saw their stuff on sale at Tower (the self titled) but I never got any of their albums.

I will start a new mission to haul in as much as of any band's catalog that I have stocked up as it is.

Voivod's stuff (whatever I can get here considering that our local metal sections in LA suck ***) will be on my list. If I don't get to it, I will fail and realize it.

Apocalyptic Raids 08-27-2005 07:28 PM

I haven't really checked out much Voivod, but it always sucks when someone dies. RIP

They've been dropping like flies this year :-\

Terrorzone 08-27-2005 08:46 PM

R.I.P. Piggy. Thats very sad.

Arrakakaka 08-27-2005 09:02 PM

Everybody cool dies.

RCA 08-27-2005 09:58 PM

RIP Piggy. :(

I still can't get over the new Exodus.

everybody dies.

But our heroes die on our generation.

i made a thread about it, it's on the front page.
If you want to contribute with something it would be apreciated.

.44 Magnum Opus has really grown on me. :thumb:

I'm setting up DC++ now :D

Grown on you? Meaning you didn't like it before?

I'd say that whole album rips. Easily the best thing they've done in 15 years.

In other words I love it. I love the "...and I don't give a fuck" part.

Easily the best thing since Fabulous Disaster. Not counting Another Lesson In Violence of course ;)

Sup thread, stopping in while I can out here in the Bay Area... Not too much happening, but man the food is awesome out here, the people are nice as hell, and the I can feel the thrash, or at least my more nostalgic side can.

ThrashMaster27 08-28-2005 03:13 AM

Going Going Gone is my fave new Exodus song at the moment. Love that chorus. Dukes has got a great voice and I'm liking the new leads and drumming. Very swish.

It's still no Bonded By Blood, but it's another great modern day Thrasher from Exodus. Not sure if I prefer it over TOTD yet, I think I'll give it a few more listens before I decide that.

metal-militia 08-28-2005 09:26 AM

Just saw the bad news about Piggy. RIP

Arrakakaka 08-28-2005 09:46 AM

I'm starting to not like the new wave of thrash.

metal-militia 08-28-2005 10:43 AM

just had my first listen to the new Exodus and i like it. I reckon its much better than TOTD, and Rob Dukes vocals are pretty decent too :thumb:

Bazarov 08-28-2005 11:18 AM

Is anyone planning on buying the new Nuclear Assault CD?

whatduffhuck7 08-28-2005 04:21 PM

ive only herd bad things about the new nuclear assault

Corporal Compendia 08-28-2005 05:18 PM

Yeah, I keep hearing that the new Nuclear Assault sucks too... but I'll pick it up if they're selling it cheap when I see them.

Bazarov 08-28-2005 06:18 PM
Yeah, I keep hearing that the new Nuclear Assault sucks too... but I'll pick it up if they're selling it cheap when I see them.
I haven't heard much about it, I just happened to go onto their website today and found out. I'll wait for a leak or samples and give it a listen, if I like what I hear, I'm most definately buying.

RCA 08-28-2005 06:38 PM

The new Nuclear Assault is mediocre. If I were to rate it, I'd give it a 65/100. :(

RavenousMetalist87 08-28-2005 07:16 PM

I finally got the whole...promo for Shovel Headed Kill Machine.

It's going to take some time for me to get into it all. I just need a week to gather my full thoughts.

"It's good." :D

Terrorzone 08-28-2005 07:37 PM

Judging by Deathamphetamine (Only song I have heard) Tis better than TOTD.

RCA 08-28-2005 08:48 PM
Judging by Deathamphetamine (Only song I have heard) Tis better than TOTD.
WAY better. :D

FatalEnergy 08-28-2005 09:47 PM

I picked up RELIXIV today to see if it's any good. and I'm just now listening to it, and so far I think it's pretty solid. Well.....I'm only on the 2nd song. The first was cool, but this one is pretty gay.
