Sit coms have shelf lives as they're designed to engineer situations that are identifying to the audience. Seinfeld is set twenty years ago, all the jokes are about things twenty years old, and the aesthetic is dated. I don't get why you find something that you don't identify with funny.

sorry but contextualizing a sitcom is pretty pointless when the humour is character based. even the episode with rudy giuliani had more to do with muffins than it did new york politics

and a lot of the most memorable jokes/situations are still relevant.
Soup Nazi is timeless, and the episode with the apartment where George has to compete with the Nam vet is still relevant as Nam still holds cultural weight.
