How about carbonized? Its jazz influenced death metal
I heard a demo of their's. Don't remember it though

Eliminator 10-29-2007 08:40 PM

their earlier stuff isn't jazz influenced at all

For the Security is pretty good though. has a nice "walking around in filthy dark alley" feel to it

masscows 10-29-2007 08:40 PM
Uh, it's an At The Gates album...
gg me then

Aakon_Keetreh 10-29-2007 08:40 PM

What about Inveracity?

FatalEnergy 10-29-2007 08:41 PM

I'll pass on that so called "br00tul" stuff
The violin on The Red In The Sky Is Ours is elite.
Yes it is, that album is extremely underrated.

Slapping Penguin 10-29-2007 11:40 PM

My favorite At the Gates most likely

I had the pleasure of hearing Autumn Leaves a fair while back now. I still think they are great.

Btw, 18 today. Wish me a happy birthday you bastards.

Angmar? Who were you before?

i am the robots 10-29-2007 11:46 PM

Yeah, they're real good.

With Fear I Kiss The Burning Darkness is my favorite ATG album.

Angmar 10-29-2007 11:48 PM

I was Stevo2112

Happy birthday btw :)

Slapping Penguin 10-29-2007 11:49 PM

Mappy I just realized something you said.
Unrelated but lulztastic: I love how kids go on and on about Carcass starting melodic death metal, yet Autumn Leaves, At The Gates, Ceremonial Oath, Septic Broiler, and a ton of other bands were around before Heartwork was even released.
I would agree but Autumn Leaves formed the same year Heartwork was released so..... and Autumn Leaves first album came out in 1997 so.........

^^^^^ thanks mate. I am so happy now :)

i am the robots 10-29-2007 11:56 PM

Shi, for some reason I thought Heartwork was '95. Oh well.

ATG, Septic Broiler/Dark Tranquillity, and Ceremonial Oath are still pre-Heartwork.

Apocalyptic Raids 10-30-2007 12:10 AM

I've never heard anyone say Carcass started it.
Btw, 18 today. Wish me a happy birthday you bastards.
are you drunk yet?

Nostalgia 10-30-2007 12:14 AM

Carcass started it.
I've never heard anyone say Carcass started it.
You wouldn't believe the things you read on /mu/ and UG. The common metalhead is unimaginably stupid.

Slapping Penguin 10-30-2007 06:03 AM

^^ True. The common person is unimaginably stupid! :p

Actually no Jono. Had work tonight. Plus common, my final year of school with serious studies :p don't be so stupid!

Btw, Mappy I wasn't being harsh about that comment before lol, just wanted to make sure your facts were straight. :p

(In other news... how often must I use this ":p" in a post....)

So, I might get to see AN Autopsy on Sunday. Not, Autopsy.

Apocalyptic Raids 10-30-2007 06:44 AM

Ah, I forgot. HSC time. Good luck :D

The violin on The Red in the Sky is Ours is bollocks. It's out of tune, doesn't fit and is plain stupid. Ruins a great album.

Good work. I'm proud of you.

masscows 10-30-2007 01:33 PM

sometimes they overuse chuggas but they're still the ultimate rape.

i am the robots 10-30-2007 01:33 PM

Overuse? Nah son.

masscows 10-30-2007 01:35 PM

The chuggas in Revolution 21 are pretty excessive.

Eliminator 10-30-2007 02:56 PM

Well it's first instances are great, it does get a little odd after a while.

NemesisDivina 10-30-2007 07:31 PM

So... Suffocation and Immolation last night kicked complete and total ***. We got there late so we got to miss Skinless :D. Then Immolation played my favorite song of theirs (Burial Ground) and then Suffocation came on and completely annihilated everything. They played almost ALL old material it was fantastic. Some of the songs they played hadn't been played in like 10-20 years. They played Liege of Inveracity, Infecting the Crypts, and Seeds of the Suffering off of Effigy. Then they played Pierced From Within, Thrones of Blood, and Brood of Hatred from PFW. They even played Catatonia off of Human Waste. They played Misconceived and Entrails of You off the new one. Frank Mullen and Terrence were the epitome of intensity, that show was ****ing insane... except there were a bunch of faggot scene kids there.
