and i just went and saw my grampa in the hospital, man i hate those places. i actually have to force myself to go into them. i have these little panic attacks and stuff, which usually are terrible since i have raynaud's disease and it gets triggered by little panic attacks like that. and then i had to keep leaving when i was talking to him because i couldn't stand seeing him hooked up to all those things.

anyways, that sucked. the only reason i even went was because that was probably the last time i'll see him. if not, then that's great, but i didn't want him to die without me going to see him.
go as often as you can. You'll regret it if you don't
well my dad just told me that he deposited $100 in my bank account, since he kept offering me a $100 bill to come back and work with him and i kept refusing to take it. he was begging me to go work with him this morning and i said i was going to work on my foot control for drums, which gave me even more reason to practice, since my mom was home.

I know what you're talking about, I had to do that same for mine. Of course, I was younger and didn't really understand the extent of it. Doing that now would slay me, things like that really bother me.

rockindrummer 09-25-2005 09:32 PM

Atleast you took the time to go see him. That's all that matters, I bet he liked it a lot.

styler 09-25-2005 09:46 PM

man, go and see him as often as you can, i couldnt stand to see my grandma in a hospital, i didnt see her for a long time cuz i couldnt stand it in her room seeing her in pain, then when i finally went to see her, her alzheimers (sp) got triggered and she forgot who i was, she remembered she loved me and stuff, but she couldnt for the love of god remember who any of us were, or any of her memories and etc, just feelings, i was torn for weeks, she died a week later. i regret more than anything that i didnt go and see her more while she was in the hospital

Loyton 09-25-2005 09:58 PM

O yea? We made a bong outta a kazoo and glass guitar slide.

rockindrummer 09-25-2005 10:19 PM

^ Sweet, sounds interesting. How'd you make it?

Win A Rabbit 09-25-2005 10:29 PM

well i just ranted out a girl who was forcing me all these peta beliefs, movies, articles, you name it. eventually it just pissed me off, and i exploded on her. haha looks like she wont be talking to me for a while now. man i love ranting.

well i'm gonna go work on my foot control, then watch my lamb of god dvd. that'll probably be it for me tonight, so good night mx.

Japan3gro 09-25-2005 10:34 PM

Hope your grandpa is better man I know exactly how that hospital stuff is.

poppinfresh 09-25-2005 10:57 PM

hey sic, did you ever encounter one of those scientology guys. I went to this stress test booth, they were promoting a book called dianetics. This ****ing bastard said to be happy i had to be responsible and take immediate action for any problems that i have and take care of them right away he tried to tell me that i was unhappy and ****. It took me three hours of arguing with him before i realized it was like arguing with a three year old kid who wont accept that santa doesnt exist. so if you ever run into them they really help sharpen your skills and keep oyu on top of your game.

Tim 09-25-2005 11:38 PM

not making a whole new thread on this but i got some sticks and practice pad today. I usually play 5b but im moving to fatback 3a's. i liek them more. they are a good practice stick too. I ended up getting the vic firth pad. the jackass tried to sell me the 12 inch one or whatever the biggest one is but thats retarded. i got the 6.

Drum Phil 09-26-2005 10:05 AM

Am i the only person who prefers CRT monitors (the huge *** ones) to TFT/Plasma?

Jezen 09-26-2005 11:17 AM

TFT sucks, but the advantage is the added work room.

Voodoo Rabbit 09-26-2005 11:18 AM

I am awfully tired. Stupid bloody bus.

Gah...

Der Meister 09-26-2005 11:27 AM
TFT sucks, but the advantage is the added work room.
tft are amazing, the new ones don't even ghost.

CRT's suck, I have a 21" in my room and I am swapping it for a 15" TFT.

Jezen 09-26-2005 11:31 AM

I hope im not confused. The big flatscreen ones are good, but the LCDs are crud.

Drum Phil 09-26-2005 11:35 AM

I prefer CRT because LCD an tha' always look weird if you look at em at a weird angle

Drum Phil 09-26-2005 01:17 PM
Thoughts are the shadows of feelings, always darker, emptier, and simpler.
I don't care if they're fake or real, I just thank them for showing up at all.
I have black periods. Who does not? But they are not a part of me;
they are not a part of illness, but a part of my being. What am I saying?
I have the courage to have them. Four o' clock in the morning. This sucks.
Any of you lot know where thats from? ;) Bet ya's dont but i reckon its a class extract

Der Meister 09-26-2005 01:23 PM
I prefer CRT because LCD an tha' always look weird if you look at em at a weird angle
Drum Phil 09-26-2005 01:27 PM

spike9908 09-26-2005 02:06 PM
lol thats cruel spike, i just applied for a cashiering job a few hours ago...so so cruel
oh, just you wait till you start. especally if its at a grocery store. people get all pissy if you dont go fast enough or if you start to bag in plastic but they just then decide to tell you paper. and dont get me started on the retards who want paper IN plastic.

styler 09-26-2005 04:19 PM

lol im lucky then, where i live we dont use paper, woohoo go canada

poppinfresh 09-26-2005 04:42 PM

yes, im trading my brass snare for a tama artwood 14 by 6.5

Jezen 09-26-2005 04:49 PM

Unfortunately, I have had to decide against the module.

Instead, i'll pick up a 10" tom, a cymbal grabber, some parts for my repair projects, and some heads. Maybe if I have enough money from the projects, I will get a module then.

Double Bass Jim 09-26-2005 05:06 PM

Sounds good mang, you should really get some new heads first!!

styler 09-26-2005 05:36 PM

^ you do need them BB

poppinfresh 09-26-2005 05:49 PM

oh here are some pics of the moon festival. i used my set with my friends pdp toms since they sounded better, but they didnt because he lied and told me that the heads sounded great. So it was likt playing with 8 and 10 in toms. You can even see the asian lanterns in the back

poppinfresh 09-26-2005 05:51 PM

oh we had a canopy but they had to take it off because it caused them too many problems the day before.

styler 09-26-2005 06:00 PM

lol thats crazy, every person in your band looks like people i know, your bassist looks like my old guitarist, your singer (i think hes singer) looks like my friends old drummer, only kinda chubbier, and your drummer (i believe thats you) looks like this guy that used to play on my drum set, your grip even looks the same, except yours looks like you know what your doing, the other guy just tried to mimmick me, you guys look awesome, any audio?
