You should do stand-up. Seriously.

JonG 09-29-2004 06:52 PM

Guns N Roses isn't that great, I only like Slash, Axl is a little girl. As for songs..I only like Patience and Sweet Child O' Mine, and Welcome To The Jungle.

Cooper's great, though he kind of sold out on his "darkness".

He makes cameos on everything.

So far I've seen: That 70's Show and an Office Max commercial

I Wish to remain unnamed 09-29-2004 07:00 PM

Zeppelin rules. The Who is great. The Doors are pretty good. Rush is ok. Van Halen is awesome. I dont know if Black Sabbath would count as classic rock but if you like zep and van halen black sabbath is for you.

JonG 09-29-2004 07:00 PM

Yeah, I like Cooper, was a fun show. Even how old he is :)

Anyone like Elvin Bishop?

thickasabrick 09-29-2004 07:02 PM

im going to alice cooper on oct 11. i'm excited. me and some of my friends camped over night to get front row....even though no one else showed up for tickets till about eight in the morning. it was awesome.

JonG 09-29-2004 07:04 PM

Lol, here, there was no front row or nothin', just in an open ballroom, I got up to the front though :) Almost caught like 5 100 bills when he sang a song, can't remember it though.

It's craptastic!

Now why would we post on that crappy site, when we have this, much better site already? And plus there's musicdisscusion.tk too. Both better than that forum.

thickasabrick 09-29-2004 07:15 PM

guitarted838 09-29-2004 07:18 PM

BludgeonySteve 09-29-2004 07:19 PM

Now be productive. Or else...

I would also like to know what his favorite song is. He worships them so much, it would be interesting.
hey badmoon whats your favourite song by the grateful dead?
Recently - "Mama Tried"

Badmoon 09-29-2004 07:23 PM

Your late on the post and the vistation, pig.

EDIT: Touche ;)

guitarted838 09-29-2004 07:23 PM

whats the new chatroom?

Shakedown 09-29-2004 07:24 PM

I would have guessed "Sugar Magnolia". It's a great song. It has a great laid-back guitar part and "Saw My Baby Down By The River" is sung beautifully.

thickasabrick 09-29-2004 07:33 PM

for some reason this question just popped into my head....
in my opinion, classic rock has been influenced by a few different genres (not including rock itself)
a few that come to mind are blues, r&b, folk and bluegrass

what im wondering is...in your opinions... what makes a better classic rock sound?

is it the more electric blues/r&b aspect, or the more acoustic folk/bluegrass?

just for conversations sake. of course everyone has different opinions.

guitarted838 09-29-2004 07:34 PM

i like a bluesy rock sound

JonG 09-29-2004 07:34 PM

I'm thinking this site should get an IRC channel...anybody else think so??

BTW: Black Sabbath=great. Anybody think so?

BludgeonySteve 09-29-2004 07:34 PM

Blues influenced rock is my favorite.

Badmoon 09-29-2004 07:35 PM

Bluegrass and Country with Rock > all

guitarted838 09-29-2004 07:35 PM

:thumb:
Blues influenced rock is my favorite.
thickasabrick 09-29-2004 07:38 PM

im really not sure myself...because i think of guys like dylan, neil young, simon and garfunkel who took the more folkish route are the most amazing songwriters. but blues is my favourite genre.

my favourite bands are zeppelin and jethro tull..who you can tell have been influenced by both folk and blues.
