Hes just a n00b listing bands
|
Its not like they are unknown.
|
Lately I've been listening to The Band.
Does any one like this Canadian(except Levon Helm) group? |
Its not like they are unknown.
Yes they are all I think about is What the **** they were thinking about before they make a post. |
Hmmm, did the Byrd's cover this? I thought they wrote it.
But my best friend said, "Paul McCartney covered Live and Let Die from Guns and Roses, didn't he?"
Your best friend is a moron. Paul McCartney wrote Live And Let Die for a 007 movie in the 70's. GnR were just bored. |
GnR covered alot of stuff by other bands...i was surprised because before i seriously got into classic rock, i thought it was original. Live & Let Die, Knockin on Heavens Door, Sympathy for the Devil, and i believe theres a few more. I have the albums, dont feel like checking

Current Kick Ass Song
----------------------------- The Golden Road (To Unlimited Devotion) - Grateful Dead. And to the user who said "music is the devil" ...Leave. |
My current is Pigs(Three Different ones).
|
Yea, Fillmore East is great, but not half as diverse and exciting as Eat a Peach. I'll send that to you sometime if you'd like.
I've been listening to a lot of The Grateful Dead's more rythmic stuff. Like their Reggae numbers like "Scarlet Begonias" and "Fire on the Mountain". |
Medopalis, check rock not roll's homepage for a site that streams music. Sample albums there.
Also visit www.rmparadise.net It's the same concept except it has less bands. But it has bands that xsao doesn't. |

Well yeah, I knew that. I had to correct him when he said it, and he was like "GnR's version is much better" (even though he never heard McCartney's version; he's like that, making opinions of stuff he's never known). Well, I don't know about the studio version, but once you see Paul do it live......that's it. No competition. |
New poll is up.
|
omg... this thread is still up
|
yep, you just gotta vote dylan.

 I dunno, I love Dylan, and everything he's done, (especially blood on the tracks-awesome album) But I just think The Who have got so much more variety in their work, Both brilliant though, don't get me wrong. |
And I though you had left the thread behind, but you came back good for you.
I dunno, I love The who, and everything he's done, (especially who's next-awesome album) But I just think Bob Dylan have got so much more variety in their work, Both brilliant though, don't get me wrong. No seriously I just like Dylan more, Who has talent across the board though, Moon, Enwistle etc. Note I used etc. insteand of roger and pete "I asked bobby Dylan"- the seeker |
"I asked bobby Dylan"- the seeker
I asked The Beatles, I asked Timothy Leary...but he couldn't help me either! They call me the... |
Jimmy page, At least you didn't note how I mispelled their names, now I can put on the list of actual people not always correcting my spelling.
(If I had another who/dylan cross reference I would put it here) And I have been searching low and high |
Creedence...as you're on now, and seem to be Dylan expert in residence, which album of his d'you think I should get first? My family have got a double disc best of lurking around downstairs, but I was just wondering which of his albums was best for someone whose heard his stuff, but doesn't know all that much about his and his music. Thanks.
Blood on the Tracks, maybe not his best but the easiest to be drawn into, raw emotion follow the break up with his wife. then theres Highway 61 revisted and Blonde on blonde, there the top three which most people pick their number one from, if only I knew my favourite. |

*Thinks carefully* wait no, I wouldn't give away an arm, I would need that to play the guitar, amybe a leg..........
It was mainly showman-ship, He did it first in the marquee. He pulled his guitar up sharply. It hit the ceiling and some mistook it for showmanship....so being a showman, he carried on doing it :). |
