I thought it was kind of the exact same as the last one. Some of the transitions were better but a lot of it just seemed like them doing the same thing as they did on the last album, only you know, again.

I only gave it one or two listens though. It just didn't grab me.

I actually liked their new album. I definitely wasn't a fan of their other stuff just because of how the vocals turned out and everything, but the minor adjustments they did make really stood out to me. Granted I don't listen to it a lot, it still is a pretty good listen every now and then.

The ambient passages on Two Hunters are engaging, while the ambience on Diadem utterly fails to keep my attention. Plus, almost everything is improved: riffs, vocals, creativity, build ups, transitions. WITTR would be a powerful live act.

Too bad they can't hold a show. Every show they schedule they cancel a few weeks later.

I agree that the ambient passages are better but the bm ones are just the ones from their first album repeated.

the first album was just as powerful; it has to do with how the guitars are mixed and levelled.

I'll give it another shot but yeah I was bored pretty quick with the new one. Might not have been in the mood for it at the time.

Saying it's LEAGUES ahead is ridiculous though, since it's the same sound.

Yeah, I have to give Diadem another listen as well... I may not have been in the mood for that one either. But the mood struck flawlessly when I got Two Hunters which is probably why I ended up liking it so much more

This is pretty much where I stand on WITTR as well. [i]Two Hunters[/i] is actually one of the albums of the year for me.

Also, the intro to [i]Cleansing[/i] is beautiful. I can not get enough of it.
