I don't think I can choose a single favorite. Maybe At the Soundless Dawn, but I'd hate to be neglecting Godspeed or EITS. Also, DMST and 65dos...

Godpseed's Lift Your Skinny fists is by far my favorite Post rock album. It is my favorite album of all time.

Lift Your Skinny Fists is amazing in every way. The first six minutes are so damn epic it's ridiculous...

It is essential listening for any fan of music imo.

i still enjoy it, its just nowhere near the perfection of spiderland. its way different sounding too, dont expect anything from it, becasue you'll be let down. but maybe come back to really enjoy it later, like i did.

and i just found out im going to see Do Make Say Think friday in Detroit. and Redsparrowes in march.

So I went to see Explosions in the Sky yesterday and it was fantastic. Show was amazingly intense and all songs flowed together like one huge song, no pauses, no bullshit talking in between songs. If you can go see them, I'd say do it, even if you find them just decent or something.

I like bullpoop talking in between songs :(

its basically regurgitating every post-rock band you ever heard. but some tracks of theirs is actually not too bad and somewhat original.

I don't really have tolerance anymore for bands that basically write songs out of the "How To Write Generic Post Rock" book anymore.

It's good, but it's rated appropriately. F#A# is overrated. But still good.
