You're on the right path :thumb: ;)

Brain Toad 11-06-2005 02:32 PM

Don't think I'm going to get into other modern hardcore bands. SYG was good because the guy had a good voice. Most hardcore bands have a singer I can't stand.

Jessizzle 11-06-2005 02:37 PM

I couldnt decided if INSULT TO TRADITION was really good.. or really really bad. So im still listening to them...

Anxious 11-06-2005 02:43 PM

I can't stand the singer from North Side Kings, but everyone knows the story and probably bought or downloaded Organize Your Neighborhood.

Confession: I like Relient K, some Kanye West, and I'm obsessed with Bloc Party. I've had to have listened through Silent Alarm all the way through 20+ times by now, and I've had it for maybe three months.

Anxious 11-06-2005 03:16 PM

I like alot of the Jedi Mind Trick's beats but Vinnies rapping gets old really fast. Everyone knows DJ Shadow, Aesop Rock and A Tribe Called Quest is where it's at.

modern_man 11-07-2005 12:07 PM

let me see, where should i start?...

...well i do have that fetish of getting naked with exotic animals...then theres that time when at the nursing home when i routinely rolled the old folks in wheelchairs down the stairs...i once had anal sex with myself...i occasionally go to the grocery store and rub my penis on the fresh vegetables then put them back...

...but by far the worst confession i have is that once i had a desire to start a boy band.i was gonna call it BACKSTREET KIDS N'SYNC....why cant i be normal?:upset:

Speaking of all this rap talk...

People who generally talk about rap in indie circles such as these seem to always talk about the general underground (Aesop Rock, Del, etc) or the mainstream iconoclasts (Public Enemy, Wu Tang). Me, I like white-devil-hatin', sexist, violent gangsta rap; Three Six, Geto Boys, Biggie, Dr. Dre, the Game, etc. Don't get me wrong, a lot of indie-hop and backpack stuff is really good, but I would just much rather listen to gangsta tough-guy hip-hop.

FunknPunk 11-07-2005 01:28 PM

i'd rather not listen to hip-hop

AndreTheHyena 11-07-2005 01:33 PM

And you think Prince is gay, so that's two strikes against you. But you have a Queers avatar, so that's, like, + 1/2.

NWA are the only gangster-style rap I can stand, because they sound like they're taking the piss. And I heard some Notorious BIG, it SUCKED. And so did Tupac Shakur. They suck.

AndreTheHyena 11-07-2005 01:36 PM

Biggie and 'Pac rule. You suck.

Everyone has to have a good cry over Simon and tha G once in a while. The only punk song I can think of that made me feel like crying everytime I heard it, and made me cry the first time, is Oi Polloi - Whale Song. That song was so sad :upset:.

Hey, that was a confession. AWESOME!

AIRIC 11-07-2005 02:27 PM
