True dat.

Someone please recommend me some music.

Relatively new to punk, only stuff that I listen to from the genre is the Misfits and Samhain. Recently d/led some Son of Sam, that was alright. Tried a bit of Against Me, not a big fan of that. I used to listen to a bit of the Distillers, but they're nothing special.

But yeah, feel free to recommend me anything. Or maybe, I should start from the beginning and work on the classics...?

Download Rancid's Life Wont Wait or Lets Go or ...And Out Come The Wolves

Flagjacket 10-06-2007 09:09 AM

Try some records like Gorilla Biscuits - Start Today, Black Flag - The First Four Years, No Trigger - Canyoneer.

Liebensaft 10-06-2007 09:56 AM

Any of the following albums would be good for someone looking to get more into punk music. You can't go wrong with anything here.

Operation Ivy - Energy
Rancid - ...And Out Come the Wolves
Bad Brains - I Against I
Catch 22 - Keasbey Nights
the Dead Kennedys - Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables
the Dead Milkmen - Big Lizard in My Backyard
Husker Du - Zen Arcade or New Day Rising
Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures
Latterman - No Matter Where We Go...!
Minor Threat - Complete Discography
NoFX - Punk in Drublic or Pump Up the Valium
O Pioneers!!! - Like We Care About the Wolves
(maybe) Reagan Youth - A Collection of Pop Classics
Stiff Little Fingers - Inflammable Material or Nobody's Heroes
T.S.O.L. - Dance With Me
Violent Femmes - Self-Titled to start. Freak Magnet and Add it Up (1981-1993) are good if you like the self-titled.

I've come to the conclusion that there could be a huge nuclear explosion on the earth, and some how misfit fans would still survive. You're never going to escape their crimson ghost logo.

Flagjacket 10-06-2007 02:57 PM

I see it fit to consider people who are REALLY into the Misfits as a sub-juggalo. They can't be the juggalo of punk because that's a Leftover Crack fan.

AndreTheHyena 10-06-2007 06:21 PM

The Misfits rule.

Cool thanks for that. I'll get a list going for myself, and work my way through the recommendations.

Thanks a lot for that.
Depending on how big of a Misfits fan you are, there may be nothing anyone can do here to help.
Eh, I don't think I'm a massive 'Fits fan. They're good every now and then.

Haha, even some of the posers...

Yes because Misfits fandom is the most exclusive social caste in the history of punk rock.

badtaste 10-06-2007 10:41 PM

You know it.

AndreTheHyena 10-08-2007 11:37 PM

Is that a Primal Instinct character in your avatar?

DemonicRubberDucky 10-09-2007 05:48 PM

I'm looking for some more whacked out avant-garde rock. I've already gone through the japanese scene (Ruins and The Boredoms), what else is there?

Scuba_Steve 10-09-2007 08:16 PM

Fantomas.

I kid I kid, you've definately heard them if you've resorted to the japanese scene.
Cyrax? Mortal Kombat?
Cyrax is correct.
