When you consider that he wrote everything (guitar, drums, horns, bass, lyrics, winds, EVERYTHING) in all 3 bands (okay, inCatch 22's case, the first album), it's big connection.
Agreed.
from the SID Forum....

"Went to Streetlight Manifesto last night in Seattle. AMAZING, AND they played some new material and let me tell you its INCREDABLE, they also said they had a new cd coming out early next year on a new record lable, and The Bandits of Accustic Revolution will be getting back together."

THIS IS WHAT SOME KID SAID, SO DON'T QUOTE ME
In June they told us that here in Pittsburgh. Well, sort of. They said they'd be recording this summer (on myspace a lady confirmed this and said she has recordings, when questioned, she replied that she does have it as she's dating the bassist, someone else went "oh i thought that was you" and she asked if they'd met, but he said Chris told him about her...so yes, she's definitely Chris's g/f and telling the truth). Tomas said they had a "treat" for us because BOTAR was going into the studio just like Streetlight.

Yea, we heard the same thing in Albany in June about new BOTAR stuff.

AIRIC 09-17-2005 11:05 PM

Yeah! Albany Punx Rool!

pedro durruti 09-18-2005 01:00 AM

Henrik 09-18-2005 10:05 AM

^^Any new stuff????

pedro durruti 09-18-2005 10:12 AM

I'm not sure, one of the songs I didn't recognize but I don't remember Tomas ever saying it was from the new album. Other than that, the only thing new was their opening horn riff to whatever song they played first

Any C22 stuff?

pedro durruti 09-18-2005 01:41 PM

Just Keasbey Nights that they mixed with Point/Counterpoint
Does anyone know if Catch 22 still plays Dear Sergio? I've seen them twice in the past month, and once before that, and I have yet to hear it.

It makes me sad on the inside.
Streetlight plays it, so don't be sad.

maco 09-18-2005 06:11 PM

I never heard Streetlight play Dear Sergio. Why don't they play it in my city -.-

Kithkin, I saw a ska history thing you wrote on some website (yeah, so descriptive) and was like "Kithkin? Hey! That's someone from mx"

Serious Awesomeness 09-18-2005 08:11 PM
Streetlight plays it, so don't be sad.
OK, that's good. I've seen Streetlight once, but I don't think they played it. But, I have seen videos of Streetlight playing it. Hopefully thel'll play it next time they come throught St. Louis.

mostlydeadonarrival 09-20-2005 12:23 AM

After seeing both Catch 22 and Streetlight play Keasbey Nights I have decided that Streetlight kick Catch's ***

POINTLESS5448 09-20-2005 10:00 AM

Yeah, Streetlight definitely does Keasby Nights stuff better than C22.

Nope I don't think so. To my knowledge they only do Dear Sergio and Keasbey Nights. Would be cool to hear them remake it though. The song is great, but it misses something. Eg. I would like a differents in the drums.

Any sugerstions of what streetlight could improve on a KN-remake???

They play 9MM in the middle of another song. That wasn't as good as Point/Keasby Nights/Counterpoint but it was still really good.

Henrik 09-20-2005 02:06 PM

Ohh, I've never heard that. Do you remember which song?

AIRIC 09-20-2005 03:37 PM

No, I forgot. It was really good though.

Brain Toad 09-20-2005 06:26 PM

SLM is playing in SF soon according to a little poster I saw today, I won't be going though.

Buzzbomb 09-20-2005 06:33 PM

Brain Toad 09-20-2005 06:40 PM

I live 45 minutes from SF and have no way of getting there.

Dude I was right next to you for the opening acts!! (See person in blue Millencolin shirt w/ Kingwood logo and curly brown hair.)

skatebum 09-21-2005 04:07 AM

they play 'better than you" which is an old or unreaeased track by c22

Dude3 09-23-2005 11:42 PM

I'm seeing Streetlight on Friday. What would you say is their usual setlist?

SynthesizedRudeboy 09-23-2005 11:49 PM

catch22 nowadays blows that's my opinion tom left and it went downhill

streetlight....AHHH STREETLIGHT
I've seen them live 3 times and they keep getting better and better and better.
keasby nights 2....whatever happened to that?

Permanent Solution 09-23-2005 11:55 PM

I saw them tonight. Tomas confirmed a CD release in early 2006, but he said that that meant new material for next tour. So I don't think it is a remake of Keasby Nights...might still be covers though, they played a lot of those tonight.
