I love Judas Priest, my favorite song would either have to be Painkiller, or Metal Meltdown!
"HERE COMES THE METAL MELTDOWN RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!!"

Apocalyptic Raids 03-31-2006 07:44 PM

My favourite would be either The Hellion/Electric Eye or One Shot At Glory.

Deth 03-31-2006 08:29 PM

Beyond the Realms of Death, Painkiller or The Ripper for me.

Funnily enough, the ripper has really grown on me since i alst heard. At first i could nevere get over the "your in for suprise, your in for a shock WAHHHHHH"
The wahhh part really turned me off to that song. But, now since i have gotten passed that, its pretty awesome.

I've gone off Painkiller (the song). I have listened to it way to much.

Electric Eye, All Guns Blazing, for me.

-The Frank 03-31-2006 11:14 PM

Hell patrol for me at the moment

Apocalyptic Raids 03-31-2006 11:16 PM

I've been hooked on Hell Patrol lately.

\m/

-The Frank 03-31-2006 11:19 PM

Hell patrol was the reason i bought painkiller

Shout it Out 04-01-2006 08:34 PM

Tyrant or Between the Hammer and the Anvil for me right now

Deth 04-01-2006 08:43 PM

I almost picked up Defenders of the Faith today but didn't. Kinda feel bad about it now.

Apocalyptic Raids 04-01-2006 08:44 PM

I nearly did yesterday too, General.

I will eventually.

Riva 04-01-2006 08:54 PM

Ram It Down, Riding On The Wind, Hard As Iron, All Guns Blazing and Diamonds And Rust, currently. Oh, and Freewheel Burning, of course.

Deth 04-01-2006 08:55 PM

I like the new rank I've achieved :p.

At ease soldier.

EDIT: To AR of course

my e-pen0r just shrunk so bad

Deth 04-01-2006 09:09 PM

I don't know how to respond to that.

Apocalyptic Raids 04-01-2006 09:12 PM

:-*

I saw a box set that had Unleashed In The East, Stained Class, Sin After Sin and.... some other album I forget :(

I wanted to buy it :(

Rrrrrrr 04-01-2006 10:27 PM
Indeed it does. Some classics on that album. If the slow songs were a little better, it would make a run for my favorite Priest album.
It's got Dreamer Deceiver, what more do you want?
Electric Eye, All Guns Blazing, for me.
The Sentinel or Leather Rebel for me.

Holy Diver 04-01-2006 10:45 PM

I think my favorite song would have to be The Hellion/Electric Eye, although the live version of Diamonds & Rust (from Unleashed in the East) is a close second. I have almost their entire discography, I just haven't had enough time to listen to all the songs, unfortunitely.

-The Frank 04-01-2006 10:49 PM

So, yesterday i was reading the complete headbanging history of heavy metal by Ian Christe, and at the back it had top 3 lists. One of the lists were 'best fake live albums', and unleashed in the east was on the top 3 for that lists. WTF

Riva 04-02-2006 03:28 AM

Allegedly, Rob and Glenn recorded their parts again in the studio. One more wild rumour has the entire album being made in a studio, with a fake live audience.

Glenn maintains that it is a purely live album, though some of Rob's high notes were "touched up" due to a flu he had whilst on tour.

Seeing as how i dont own this album, would any of you say this is plausible(sp?)?

Apocalyptic Raids 04-03-2006 02:35 AM

The sound is pretty clear, but I doubt it's fake.

You really should get it though.

-The Frank 04-03-2006 02:49 AM

^^summer of '06 it shall be mine. Only time i can get it :(

Riva 04-03-2006 03:55 AM

It's not like Priest to be that duplicitous.

Rrrrrrr 04-03-2006 10:39 AM

I read somewhere that Unleashed in the East was heavily overdubbed, but that was about it.

Looks like Priest pulled a KISS Alive album trick on us, shame on them.

Deth 04-03-2006 07:38 PM

The album is amazing, so I don't really care how it was recorded. It doesn't sound fully live to me anyway, but when you're rocking out to Starbreaker, that doesn't really matter.

Apocalyptic Raids 04-03-2006 07:45 PM

Starbreaker on Unleashed In The East owns.

Deth 04-03-2006 07:50 PM

One of my favorites. I'm going to listen to it now actually.
