I would if I wasn't at work, so I say y.

Kage 10-15-2007 12:00 PM

It's either take a nap or continue on with the delusion that I'll work on an essay in the time I would've been sleeping.

Nostalgia 10-15-2007 12:00 PM

Dudes I'm so rocking out to some Lost Horizon.

Kingofdudes 10-15-2007 12:01 PM

Oh yeah, I finally got a copy of Gospels album today, I should start listening to that.

Are you enjoying Austin?

Nostalgia 10-15-2007 12:13 PM

Yeah it's pretty good. I've heard like 4 power metal bands since I've listened to music, so obviously it's a little strange, hehe. Definitely not bad though.

repcak 10-15-2007 12:13 PM

Jelle?! are you still online... check out the Report-Problems thread.

I have to jet to class, but if you're on MSN later, I'll send you something. Or, I'll just e-mail you it.

Tyler 10-15-2007 12:16 PM

So that essay I stayed up until 430 finishing is due next week now.

Nostalgia 10-15-2007 12:29 PM

What is it?

Tyler 10-15-2007 12:31 PM

poison berries in my back yard, i was trying to get a shot using emphasis motif for class but was too tired to bother focusing and working on composition.

MBS 10-15-2007 12:32 PM

That's pretty brutal.

Edit: Fuck. Brutal is a word that my friends toss around lightly because our metalhead friends used to say it in a serious manner. Thus, we began to describe everything as brutal. (I.E "These mashed potatoes are brutal. That solo was fucking brutal" etc) Now, I'm using it in a semi-serious context. :(

doin' alright, doin' alright. senior year is basically the best thing ever and i am kicking ass in my classes and enjoying myself.

i'm going to a state university down the street so i will probably still be living at home next year. woot.

edit - oh yeah, we got a dog and she's really fucking cute.

Nostalgia 10-15-2007 12:48 PM

The general setting I have for black and white is really basic I think. When I just focus on one single object, zoomed in a small amount, the black and white looks really rich and thick, but when I zoom out to a broader setting it looks like a really generic and thin black and white coating. If that makes any sense.

Lunch 10-15-2007 12:49 PM

Yea, senior year was a lot of fun. What college are you looking at? I'd advise trying to move out as soon as possible, although from a financial stance living at home is a good decision.

cal state long beach. i have a decent SAT score (1900) but my GPA is kind of lacking for unis outside of the state, i think. (3.2)

Lunch 10-15-2007 12:52 PM

yea, that's pretty solid though. You always have the advantage of living where most people would love to travel/go to school

yeah i went to a seminar for UCLA and the first words out of the guy's mouth was "our minimum requirements is a 3.5 GPA". it made me very :(. and i don't know if i could cope with leaving california. i know my friend left to go to NYU and she is always talking about how she wants to go to UCLA, heh heh. Most people think it's a shithole, and they want to get out of here as fast as possible, but TBH it's a really nice place to live so I don't know what they're talking about.

gmoneyguy 10-15-2007 12:58 PM

I have a friend at NYU. She says Haley Joel Osmend(sp?) sells drugs.

Bartender 10-15-2007 12:58 PM

should've thrown in a :( at the end of that. sarcasm is difficult over the internets.

gmoneyguy 10-15-2007 01:02 PM

No matter we have choices in almost anything we do. Not being able to turn back time and redo is not sufficient evidence to say that all things have been programmed to make the choices they make and endure the changes that they endure. Being an atheist, I don't believe in a creator who programmed all monads.

Lunch 10-15-2007 01:02 PM

When I was the in the area over the summer I thought it was awesome, I don't know how living there is though. NYU is a long way from Cali, culturally as well. One of my good friends goes there for film school but I'm guessing it's easier to adjust to NY if you grew up on the east coast. I love the city for bits at a time, but I don't think I could live in the heart of it like where NYU is.

There's a general feeling among high school seniors that going away is the next step, so it's not unusual that a lot of your friends are in that sort of "this place sucks I need to get away". That's definitely how I was with Annapolis but when I go back there now I appreciate it.

Deth 10-15-2007 01:02 PM

I'm strongly considering transferring universities after next semester. Watch this space.
