everyone go nominate some bassists in the R&M top 100 bassists poll! please? there are some great lesser-known bassists that need some lovin' *coughMikeWattcough* and you kids can give it to them!

OK so I listened to that Larmousse album its pretty good, post rock but kind of leaning towards more ambience. Now listening to the Emma Mcglynn album, about halfway through and it seems pretty good on first listen, sort of singer/songwriter standard acoustic guitar with the odd drum type songs, I'm starting to think that mystery cd bundle wasn't such a bad idea after all.

For £2 I don't think it could have been a bad idea. Even if each CD just has one reasonably good song on it, you've not exactly been ripped off.

I've definitely heard of Haloblack, but I don't remember anything about them, sorry.

Yeah thats what I thought. Lukestar is a rock band from Norway (or so it seems, according to google). Don't know about Uma Lane (I think that might be the name of the album, the artist I think is called 'Nice Girls' - who I still haven't heard of but oh well).

Nah, there's this huge Ban-O-Machine that uses steam power to operate the 'Banning Pistons' which have one letter of the alphabet on the bottom of them that stamp out everyone’s name as the selected pistons move up and down. Then the 'Banning Card' that your name was stamped out on by the BPs is placed into a Mother CPU (which takes up about seven rooms). Your information is then recorded on some magnetic tape which is eventually processed slowly by Chief Engineer Sir Edmund Campbell.

Banning is hard work indeed, sometimes I feel that when I... I mean, I'm sure it's hard work, but of course I wouldn't know. Eeh-heh-he... *shifty eyes*

My top 100 bassists competition is going pretty smoothly in R&M. So far, only one idiot had the nerve to vote for Fieldy, and it was that Korn fanboy Eleventeen. :rolleyes: Hopefully he won't make it to the polls :mad:

I just got back from seeing the Evens. It was pretty sweet.
