I was obviously just joking around. But yeah, I personally don't like them or Architecture in Helsinki. But I dig most of his list other than that.
That comment wasn't directed at you, or anything, it's just my personal opinion. I suppose I should've included "I think..".

Third Eye Blind - Thrid Eye Blind

I found my old copy of it yesterday and decided that I would listen to it.

Electrocution 10-09-2005 10:56 AM

Radiohead, oddly enough.

Robert Crumb 10-09-2005 11:21 AM

VU and Wu.

Built To Spill - Keep It Like A Secret

Tomahawk 10-09-2005 11:53 AM

It's very good, just needs a bit of editing. Drop about 3-4 songs, and all the skits, and it'd be golden.

And today I'm digging Leonard Cohen, and Herbie Hancock.

guitarded_chuck 10-09-2005 11:57 AM

Haven't listened to the whole album through, but from what I've heard it's nice. Don't know if it's as great as The College Dropout, but it'll have to sit for awhile.

I heard he is already writing more material for his next album. I hope other artists take notice and start releasing albums faster more often like used to be done in the 60's and 70's.

Zappa 10-09-2005 11:58 AM

I haven't listened to Doolittle in a while.

My mom bought a couple frames because I got the prints of my senior pictures a few days ago, and she wanted to display the two 8x10'' prints. However, one of the frames had a defect, which she referred to as a "gouge." Hearing that word caused me to play "Gouge Away" which caused me to put on the rest of the record.

It's so incredibly good.

pixiesfanyo 10-09-2005 12:21 PM

We can smoke some marijauna if you got some.

That's why every band that did that from the 60's and 70's has a huge collection of ****ty albums, and like 3 good ones.

Kanye isn't that good.

both his albums are solid 3/5s.

And it's just because of the production.

Zappa 10-09-2005 12:33 PM

Some bands just like touring too much to get around to recording frequently. Which, to me, sucks balls. Because I can never see anyone famous live anyway.

Zmev 10-09-2005 01:30 PM

Elbow - Leaders of the Free World

Haven't really listened to this until now, it is awesome.

Zappa 10-09-2005 01:41 PM

I got The Laughing Stock by Talk Talk expecting to love it, and I really seem to hate at least the first 4 tracks a lot.

However, that Saccharine Trust album Anxious was talking about is really great.

Zappa 10-09-2005 01:46 PM

The first track is unbelievably ugly, the second track I can't even remember aside from the fact that my mp3 had a really abrupt ending, and the third track is really noisy.

Zappa 10-09-2005 01:49 PM

I do think I'll listen to this again, but as of right now I'm awfully disappointed and left scratching my head.

Interstate 10-09-2005 02:23 PM

Immortal - Sons Of Northern Darkness

Haven't busted out that in a while.

Most of those are jam bands, and who wants to listen to them anyway? Especially in the studio, ugh.

Listening to Weezer makes my tummy feel a whole lot giddier.

Little Man being Erased 10-09-2005 04:31 PM

I dug Blazing Arrow over the weekend, in anticipation of picking up The Craft later today.

Stumbeline 10-09-2005 04:34 PM

I guess I've been diggin Machina II by The Smashing Pumpkins and Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain by Pavement.

Banned again?

Recently I've been listening to more Against Me! than anyone should, so now I'm trying to get all the songs stuck out of my head. I'm listening to Frank Zappa - 200 Motels.

That's how I roll.

Parfait 10-09-2005 05:05 PM

I've never really used the Last.fm radio before, but now I'm getting around to it. I heard some Fischerspooner on the trance station, and it was really cool.

Anxious 10-09-2005 05:45 PM

I listened to the trip-hop lastfm station yesterday. Some of the stuff on it didnt fit in with the genre at all, but it did turn my on to some good music.

biografiend 10-09-2005 05:46 PM

I liked Laughing Stock. Alot.

Today:
The Veils
Lightning Bolt
Thomas Dybdahl
and Caribou. Who I think I enjoy the most out of this list, although everyone else is spectacular.
