Well, when everyone around you is a religious freak who just lies to themselves about what the world is so they can self-justify their existence and feel as if they are acting with purpose, and think that you should be that way too, it can be kinda pissy.

Well the logic isn't sound. Santa Claus was a real person, he just isn't eternal, nor did he hand out presents further than a local radius.

As for the whole believing or disbelieving in God thing, existence is really far too abstract to explain, which is why I remain concretely agnostic.
