no - i just think that the population increase should be stopped and if possible the population brought down - not by culling - by way of birth control
and i think that if a cure could be found for disease/cancer id be al for it
but i think its wrong to 'play god', which a cure would be doing
and someone has to think of the repercussions; according to the uk government, one in three people will suffer from cancer at some point in their lives - and 1 in 10 of those will die - so thats 1 in 30 people will be saved from death - if you imagine the amount of people that will be saved and how this will affect the population - the world will not cope
the same with prolonging life - if scientists find a way to prolong life to say, an average of 120 - people will have to work until they are say, 90-100 or otherwise there will be too many people in the category of those who are not working, and the world will collapse because there are not enough people working to support those who arent
i think you should all watch the film 'Extreme Measures' - it raises some severe questions about finding a cure for things - and i would have to say, i agree with what hugh grant says in the scene at the end where he has the gun - you cant choose for people - that is too high a price to find a cure

I think this is possibly the most Selfish and ignorant viewpoint i have ever seen. So we allow people with cancer to die as finding a cure is "playing God" so is killing animals, so are many of the things we do in daily life! Doesn't make them wrong! If you had cancer or had somebody you know die from it i'm sure you wouldn't be putting forward such stupdendously selfish views!

like... new rule.... one child per person.. if they remarry and wanna have child, they should have thought about that before!

I heard if one Nuclear Bomb goes off, it'll trigger a chain reaction of Nuclear bombs/power stations going off meaning the end of the world. I also heard that the world will be hit my a comet in 2012... (dunno about that though)


And Im just believing what Ive heard about the bird flu, I guess if we take enough precautions we can get rid of it.

You guys might laugh at me or think im stupid, but I think an apocolypse type death such as a comet hitting the earth would be very interesting. Scary as f*ck but very cool and interesting.

Whats other peoples opinions on that?

I watched this documentary about Hell and the Devil, and the only religions that made sense when it came to that topic were Buddhism and the Satanist Church.

But you're right about the Nuclear weapons, it's also one of the reasons many people believe there won't be a nuclear war: "mutual destruction" or something like that, neither side wants to be blown to smithereens so they just leave it. Like what happend with the Cold War...

there will be no nuclear war exept one nation fires one, another fires another, and the whole world explode...

and also - if we keep relying regularly on medicine to treat minor ailments - they become ineffective - the bug adapts and develops a resistance - so thinks to cure a cold may be rendered obsolete if they are over used

If you ask me, I think we should go back to swords, arrows, and shields. It isn't so destructive to the surrounding areas, and it doesn't really have any side effects other than death.

But surely you're just being hypocritical in that you said a cure is just "playing God" you can't have it both ways surely? Nowhere near enough people die from cancer to have "the world explode with people" as somebody dies every 3 seconds i think it was, so the population isn't likely to explode really. For starters the Uk's population is perfectly stable with an actual decrease last year...

yeah, it was alot better... they go out on the field and kill each other and come back(thoose who survived.) i thnk Leaders of the world should do that instead of sending 10000 of people out to die for them... if you want to be a true leader, you gotta be preapered to die for the cause....

Not that many people die of cancer that the world would overpopulate if there was a cure.


That wouldn't even happen if there was an AIDS cure! Sure, everybody would be [COLOR=White]fu[/COLOR]cking everybody, but that's why there is birth control and abortions.

maybe i was being hypocritical - but if you could find a cure for everything on the planet - except old age and accidental deaths and murders - the world would soon have a mass increase of people - what im syaing is - half the worlds population is starving - i wanna solve that - not make the problem worse
