they are not elite
1338 why discuss music with these people they are useless.
then ****ing leave |
Hey Malfeitor. Bring up something to talk about and i'll be happy to discuss it. I'm not trying to troll or anything, I just want to start talking music in this thread.
|
Wow, I missed a lot yesterday.
|
So gice wuts yr fvrt Summoning album?
|
None of them.
np: Forest - By The Roar Of The Hammer's Call |
So gice wuts yr fvrt Summoning album?
Dol Guldur ftw but then they're all good. What do you think of Lugburz? I don't like it too much - too much "standard" black metal. Nothing unique. |
Haven't heard it tbh
My favorite overall is Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame, for its consistency. Their best tracks were on Oath Bound, but it also had some meh, where Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame was solid. but now that you mention Dol Guldur, I feel like Sieg Heiling the track Khazad-dûm again. |
yeah
lugburz has a different drummer to the rest who plays fast and so that atmosphere of summoning isn't created. it's more pure black metal than later summoning. i only recently got let heros and stronghold so i'm not too familiar with them yet, but there's some great stuff on stronghold definitely. track 5 (?) i think with female vocals is superb |

It's my favorite track on that album. |

Aye, I'll listen to it later. Khazad Dum which you mentioned is probably my favorite from Summoning |
I'm Sieg Heiling Rhûn right now. It's a strange track because I always compared the Easterlings in the book to Vietnamese people and this song sounds nothing like Vietnamese music.
|
My girlfriend is Vietnamese.
|
Haha, you like Summoning, Stevie? THat's surprising. We usually discuss in the Folk / Viking thread, but oh well.
Khazad Dum is my favorite Summoning song, but I like the majority off Oath Bound as well. |
Khazad Dum is indeed elitery

I know. But I'm just saying Summoning is usually discussed in there because people call it **** non-black metal and there are arguments. That's all. '
But yeah, continue. |
lol yeah
|
I kind of liked it. The lyrics are pretty cool. I loved the atmospheric elements. The vox are LOL though.
Nothing lol worthy about the vocals. That EP is excellent.
track 5 (?) i think with female vocals is superb
Where Hope and Daylight Dies is one of my least favorite Summoning songs if not my least. :p I ALWAYS skip that one... |
heh, i very rarely skip songs....even if its "you shook me" on led zeppelin, i'll sit through it to the bitter end >:-[
|
Land of the Dead is my favorite SUmmoning song. And The Rotting Horse on Deadly Ground is pretty close to. Most of their songs are elite though.

The will of creation still tells us to go
Crushing all weakness with no fear of death Keeping the memories of the distant days When honor was right as a cross is today To laugh at the fall of the false holiness Unmasking their madness and breaking their rights To show our nations how blind are today To find in the ruins the spring of new strength Triumph is the prize of our fight, for surviving Triumph is the nature of our blood, blood still running Triumph the fulfillment of our dreams, winning battles Triumph our god and our hope, for surviving Millions of crippled, just staying to stay Liars from church with no faith in our race Such broken Christ's suffering's their life We'll smash everything and this world shall be burned In times of confusion through night is the way Our only and last hope to be a free man Out of the sight of the demons from dark So painful and hard, we will still follow there |

On a note about the song with the female vocals (where hope and daylight die) I like the instrumental parts but the vocals are pretty out of tune at spots. :-/ |

haha, I lol'd :) |
I expect this subject has been broached in this thread before but i'm intrigued to find out where people feel the line between what could be considered dark ambient and black metal is. Nortt for instance....and that's probably not the best example but it's the first that leapt to mind.
|
Most music that has drums and guitars in it dominantly is still BM to me, even stuff like Nortt and Emit which is heavily atmospheric.
|
I agree. To me Summoning is black metal, emit is black metal, ambient material like late Burzum or some Ildjarn is not exactly black metal but within the framework - the mindset of black metal and so it is black metal -in a sense- to me.
I'd always thought the Easterlings more steppe-Mongoloid than rice-paddy-Mongoloid personally.
If you read the Quenta Silmarillion, the chapter on the Nirnaeth Arnoediad (The Battle of Unnumbered Tears) is telling. Most of the Easterlings ambush the Elves when the battle begins but for a few who remain on their side. And then Maglor shoots down Uldor the Accursed in his F-4 Phantom II "Night fell in Hithlum, and there came a great storm of wind out of the West." lol rescue helicopters
Retiredat21 your girlfriend is ugly Summoning are ****
jeaaaaalooooouuuuus |
Malfeitor's boyfriend made him write that.
EWW, GIRLS HAVE NO PLACE IN THE ARYAN HIERARCHY! |
