Rap I enjoy : Eminem, Cypress Hill, Beastie Boys, MC Solaar; Gorillaz, 2Pac, House of Pain, Wu Tang Clan, the Roots.

And some stuff of : NERD, Snoop DAwg, Dr. Dre, Xzibit, D-12, and probably more, I forget.

NP : 2PAC - Troublesome '96

The Beastie Boys are great. License to Ill is a classic.

Nuh uh. I'm just cool like that.

Illmatic 06-08-2005 06:25 PM

Underrated rap: Ice Cube's solo career. His rap career, mind you, and not his film career.

NP: Robert Randolph - Nobody

But to say they're the only good rap out there?

Also, one of my buddies is going through rough times...his friend (he actually loved her, or at least liked her alot, but they had to be friends because she was leaving soon) left for India last night and won't be back for at least a year.
is gorillaz even rap? i calssify them as an alternitive rap/rock funk
Well they aren't full blown rap, but they do have rap in some of their songs. I would'nt expect to see their CD in the rap section or anything.

I didn't say they were the only good rap. I said they were the only rap I enjoy personally. There's a difference.

He didn't say they were the only good rap out there, he said it was the only rap he liked.

Edit: JPJ already clarrified this himself.

Eh, whatever. I treat the two phrases as one in the same.

For a bit of trivia, according to MusicMatch, I have the most music by Miles Davis if going by total run time alone.

lunch998 06-08-2005 06:29 PM

Based on run time I'd probably have the most Dead music (for all the music I own).

Oh, I don't know about that. AmeriKKKas Most Wanted and Death Certificate were both great albums, but I thought his other stuff was pretty uninspired.

NP: Ice Cube - My Summer Vacation

Ur joking right, do you know how incredibly popular they are. Im like the only person i know that doesnt like them.
Ur joking right, do you know how incredibly popular they are. Im like the only person i know that doesnt like them.
Wait, I worded that in a confusing way. I meant for all my music, The Dead are the ones that would have the largest total run time.

Yeah, I can listen to it. It's got some great tracks (When Will They Shoot, It Was A Good Day, Check Yo Self, The Predator) being key for me.

I didn't like War or Peace though....totally ran out of ideas by then.

NP: Cam'ron - 357

Haha, you can't beat sampling the Magnum P.I. themetune and turning it into a rap song.

Endless Obsession 06-08-2005 06:43 PM
