Well, here is the sample of a song I'm writing for a movie. My friend and I )we work together on every movie) decided to doa music video but with a twist. Come up with the video concept first, then write the music then make the movie fit the music. I recorded a sample of what I want some of it to be like, as a general mood. Also, I used Drumkitfromhell.
Better, worse...I hate comparing quality. I wish people would say "It's good," more often than "It's better than..." you know? Feelings get hurt that way, and it's retarded to do that. I'll never say that I'm a better guitar player than the most hopeless beginner.
Therefore, if you have the means at any point, I'd be quite happy to see them. :)
Well I guess mine are great in their own way, just different from yours. I've developed a different touch I guess you could say. But no, I have no means of showing them. I have an old scanner that I may try to hook up this weekend or something. |
In regards to drawing - I haven't drawn anything in almost a year. Video is really where my heart lies. I love making artsy movies with really interesting camera work. I should start drawing again though or I'll be screwed for breadth in AP art next year.
|
When it comes to the ahts I would like to be a director...I have a fixation with 70's-style gritty cinematography.
|
My breadth was weak, too (I'm no good at painting, in general), and my concentration started out cool but never went anywhere. Next year I'm taking AP Studio 2D (basically the same thing) and I really want to develop some great concepts in my work.
|
Well for me it's more like an independent study (because video isn't an AP conc yet) but for AP my Conc will be digital imaging and basically photoshop. I love photoshop, especially because it is the number one way to slip inappropriate things into your art without anyone but the most careful observer noticing. Example - at my school everyone signs the bricks at some point. Therefore, there are hundreds of bricks with writing etched into them at my school. I like to write rude things on the walls with photoshop in a picture that has nothing to do with the walls.
|
I don't do it in school, I do it independently.
I haven't done it often...I'm a finicky director; I'd much rather direct with a far bigger budget so as to completely fulfill my vision. |
I'm a pretty easy director but my 'actors' (I've never done a movie with spoken scripts) have to be able to move and take direction really fast. Since I don mostly silent movies, I just call out what I want and work as one of the cinematographers. I'd love to be a director of cinematography so I can make a movie artsy and not have to worry about the actors.

downloaded it, will listen to it later.
I actually have started scripts but they all sound cliched and affected, so I'd need someone to actually write the movies for me. |
RCA: here are my drawings for the Dante Inferno project at school. :thumb:

I compromised.
I liked the drawing of Satan, number 4 I think... |

Hmmm... The song didn't sound together enough, but it was probably meant to sound like that. |
I liked the drawing of Satan, number 4 I think...
Thanks. :) I had to learn the Enochian and Sumerian alphabets from Satanist websites for that one. |

So, who's going to actually buy a PS3 if they are actually that much money? I wouldn't be surprised at all if they costed that much as I have predicted them to be 400+ dollars. |
video games aren't all that high on my list of priorities...I'll get the XBox2 (or whatever it's called) when the price drops.
|
Dont do it Bobo, as it will have sub-standard games! Im getting a Revolution, like all the other hardcore gamers in Video Games + Movies.
Btw, wish me luck. I have GCSE English Literature and PE papers today. :( Im off, see you guys after/in between the blasted things. |
Meh, PC gaming pwns all console setups. The games are better, the graphics are better, and for me, the controls are better. I hate playing with controllers.

Anyway, morning everyone. Good drawings, Cain, though I'm confused about the Enochian. |
The only disagreement I have with Dante is that he seems to offhandedly condemn everyone to hell.
|
Who exactly is Dante?
/Is not up on Hell's history... |
Chris, google Dante's Inferno, or The Divine Comedy. I have to go eat dinner now, otherwise I'd definitely enlighten my microphone buddy. :)
|
Dante Alighieri, probably best known for being a poet/writer. He wrote the Inferno, which is basically his vision of Hell. My main problem with it is that he never really seemed to give any reason for thinking it was this way, rather than any other.

I agree, since I enjoy online FPS, although I do have a console, and will probably get an Xbox 360 eventually. My PC sucks :(. I can only play CS 1.6 and DoD. |

Way to show me up, Bartender. |

'morning all. I'm going to the comedy store again tonight to see the players :D (basically, six comedians and no script. Audience shouts out random words, they make the skits. The 'players' were basically the guys that did Whose Line Is It Anyway. So it's WLIIA, but live, and hence a hell of a lot funnier) |
Howdy, Gur. Sounds like fun. Talking comedy, Jerry Seinfeld is coming to my city here next month, so I think I'm going to go see him.
|
jews, eh?
speaking of Jews, Leonard Cohen may be, and is, a fantastic folk singer songwriter, but boy does he write unusual novels. |
