It's now 00.05. That means that it's technically my birthday today! :chug:

Zappa 03-11-2005 05:13 PM

I'm on Amazon, cause I read that a Butthole Surfers DVD is good. Because of this, I'm finding all sorts of stuff I would like, particularly the Miles Davis Electric DVD, the Coltrane live in '64 DVD, and the Iggy & The Stooges reunion concert DVD. Hrm.

pinkyeti 03-11-2005 05:25 PM

F'UCK! The Arcade Fire show I wanted to see is sold out!
EDIT: And even worse, Spoon are going to play a show in berlin, but I'm away that day! AARGGH!
YOU MUST BUY THAT!
Have you got it?

Electrocution 03-12-2005 09:43 AM

My dad gave me the Miles Davis Blue Note Recordings, the Thelonious Monk Blue Note Recordings and the best of Blue Note. Fun fun fun.

Zappa 03-12-2005 09:55 AM

I thought Miles recorded almost exclusively for Columbia. Monk mostly recorded for Prestige and Riversid/OJC. I guess that's how they can make a concise compilation.

Zappa 03-12-2005 12:40 PM

So, is there anything special about today?

The Ashtray Girl 03-12-2005 12:43 PM
I'm listening to bloc party's debut for the first time, so far, it's not bad, though the praise they get seems a little too big.
It's very much a grower, you may get it after a few more listens.

Master Arkam Kannon 03-12-2005 01:12 PM
So, is there anything special about today?
no, it sucks.

No I don't sadly but I'm a fan of Coltrane so I'm sure it's got to be good. Though in 1964 he still hadn't started experimenting as much as he did in 1965-1966 but that doesn't matter, it's all good stuff.

The DVD features "Afro-Blue," "Impressions," and "Alabama," together adding up to 30 minutes of live on TV footage.

Wanker 03-12-2005 02:44 PM

Has anyone ever eaten Chinese food, and then farted 30 minutes later and it smells just like Chinese food?

First day of Spring break and I had to shovel a foot of snow

How's everyone else doing on this Saturday afternoon/morning/evening?

The Ashtray Girl 03-12-2005 03:28 PM

A bit meh-ishly, I'm home alone with the most horribly watery ready meal in the world, and I can neither work nor play satisfactorily.
