Not so big on Fugazi

I'm still waiting for the new ADIBAW album in the mail. It's been much longer than expected

bottlerocket 04-02-2006 07:09 PM

^ How long ago did you order it?

-Gav

deadohiosky9 04-02-2006 07:50 PM
13 Songs is my favorite album by them...

-Gav
hell yes. :thumb:

EDIT: the new ADIBAW album is just boring indie-rock...don't waste your money on it.

bottlerocket 04-02-2006 08:18 PM

^ I won't...thanks.

-Gav

deadohiosky9 04-02-2006 08:23 PM

-Gav

deadohiosky9 04-02-2006 08:31 PM

Too late

DaveToopes 04-02-2006 10:31 PM

Fugazi is one of my favorite bands. 13 Songs is probably my favorite. I also really love Embrace.

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 04-02-2006 10:35 PM

Rites of Spring > Fugazi & Embrace

Wow 04-03-2006 07:07 AM
Bazing!

-Gav
Their bassist left and he wrote almost all the music. I forget why.

DaveToopes 04-03-2006 08:13 AM
Rites of Spring > Fugazi & Embrace
Definitely.

bottlerocket 04-03-2006 09:21 AM
Their bassist left and he wrote almost all the music. I forget why.
Bassist love!

That sorta sucks...like how John Nolan left TBS and they started sucking hardcore.

TAYF by TBS is, by far, one of my favorite albums ever...I love it.

-Gav

Special Brew 04-03-2006 09:25 AM

Why are we talking about TBS again. :amaze:

Matt? 04-03-2006 11:25 AM
Rites of Spring > Fugazi & Embrace
123 definitely

but i've got lots of love for all three

DaveToopes 04-03-2006 11:32 AM

Yeah, me too.
no problem. i'm listening to My Heroes Have Always Killed Cowboys right now and just wondering how they went from this to their new stuff...
That album is really great. It sucks that their new stuff is so boring and bland.

bottlerocket 04-03-2006 01:30 PM
Why are we talking about TBS again. :amaze:
Because they're amazing pop-punk and without them I would've never gotten into Hot Cross, Saetia, etc....it was the band that pointed me away from Blink 182 and NFG and into stuff like that.

-Gav

cobert 04-03-2006 01:35 PM

Why is it im not on for 15 minutes and this thread gets 5 pages of posts in it?

1. Trophy Scars rules.

2. Fugazi rules
Because they're amazing pop-punk and without them I would've never gotten into Hot Cross, Saetia, etc....it was the band that pointed me away from Blink 182 and NFG and into stuff like that.
Yes.

3. Taking Back Sunday rules.

Taking Back Sunday got you into leavel plane bands? Are you ****ing kidding me? TBS doesnt scream or play anything besides power chords.

bottlerocket 04-03-2006 01:45 PM

I know they don't...what I'm saying is that TBS took me away from catchy and goofy pop punk like Blink 182 and stuff and got me into more emotional songs that had passion behind them. I started asking my friends for suggestions...

Nice reading comprehension. :thumb:

-Gav

Special Brew 04-03-2006 01:45 PM

Gross. I even like pop-punk and stuff like that, but I can't stand most TBS.

cbmartinez 04-03-2006 01:47 PM
Their bassist left and he wrote almost all the music. I forget why.
Dan Morse, guitarist and vocalist, recorded (and wrote I presume) all the bass stuff on My Heroes... How does that work?

cobert 04-03-2006 01:48 PM
Taking Back Sunday got you into leavel plane bands? Are you ****ing kidding me? TBS doesnt scream or play anything besides power chords.
Wrong.

I still like some corny 'goofy' pop-punk. Its not like i listen to it on a regular basis, but my one friend had Cheshire Cat by Blink 182 on, and i forgot how fun their old stuff was.

Special Brew 04-03-2006 01:49 PM

I like Blink, 'cept that last release.

bottlerocket 04-03-2006 01:51 PM

TBS also doesn't only play powerchords...have you ever listened to them? They do double (sometimes triple) vocals and harmonize with singing and shouting. They have great riffs at times and know how to slow it down and speed it up. They've got so much emotion in there...TAYF is an amazing album.

WYWTB was atrocious, though...that album sucked. We don't talk about that. :p

In any case, no more TBS talk...this is a hardcore/emo forum, after all...

Blah, I gotta go to work. Lame. Later.

It wasnt that bad, there were a few good songs on it.
