not really as djent refers to a RIFFING STYLE not an entire genre tbh

implying deathcore is an entire genre

deathcore refers to a style of music

so then djent and deathcore comparison is valid

a style of riffing and an overall musical direction aren't the same

cause i mean technically you could do indie rock with a djenty riff style

y not indie rock with a deathcore riff style

cause deathcore doesn't refer to a specific riff style so you might have more osdm tremelo riffs, punkier sounding stuff, chugz (obv) or djent (like the contortionist)

so final verdict on wretched and within the ruins is the first few songs are pretty awes

then they decline in quality

i thought wretched gained a better ground in the second half. within the ruins however, are like a 1 trick pony (guitar flare).
