You're such a hater, bro.
|
if i am a hater, then you are a hater as well, bro.
|
I ain't no hater bro.
|
you know, calling me a hater is a very easy cop out to this conversation. i hate when kids dance at metal shows. you hate "push pits".
but seriously, last night i was standing on this little ledge thing on the side of the venue watching the "pit." the band would be playing their song and people would just be standing there. then a breakdown would come up and then bam! everybody's dancing with their tough guy faces on. then breakdown is over, once again no movement. repeat process whenever breakdown is played. |
Sounds like a Philly show to me, that's pretty gay.
It used to be like that locally, but a lot of kids got fed up with the tough guys. Now it's like, if there's a breakdown, kids are dancing, if there's a polka beat or a blast beat, there's a circle pit, if there's a two-step beat, kids are two-stepping. It's like... it goes along with the music and can almost be qualified as dancing... sort of! |
word. i'm going to bed. peace.
|
Shut up
|
Gojira's sound and style reminds me a lot of the Immortal song "Tyrants".

About three hours late dude... |
I'm pretty excited for that show aside from BTM. Job for a Cowboy is fun live, even though they aren't worth the time to listen to aside from Entombment of a Machine.

Atumn Leaves are soooo good.
They pretty much poo on most melo-death. |
I've been saying that all along and nobody but Mappy knew what I'm talking about.
*Autumn, though. |
Mad good.
*link to one of the hundred thousand hilarious vids of hxc kids making fools of themselves*
See, a lot of kids are doing it just to have a good time, it's a lot more retarded how angry people get over it. |

Yeah seriously. And /h5 for the Autumn Leaves love Tyler. |
I dont get angry with it, I just can't stand to see two dozen asssholes blocking the stage and taking up a huge amount of space to "dance".
maybe a few years ago where there was a small dance pit but now it's like soul train for sexually confused white teenage males. h5 for you agreeing with your alt. |
Alts are fun.
And local shows are normally dancing in the middle or the back... except at smaller venues, then everybody stands to the sides so it's fine anyway. |
Are we not supposed to recognize your second account or something?
Still, it's annoying and looks like a bunch of retarded people showing off sweet moves. |
Like I said, dancing only bothers me when
1) They take up too much space 2) It distracts everyone from the actual show 3) Dancing occurs on totally non-danceable parts 4) There's 500 kids doing it and they're all fighting over whose xcrewx dominates the floor. |
Nah, I just accidently went to R&M in IE, I was spacing out.
|
what I really love is having to watch for the immensely fat drunk hardcore dude flailing around and bumping into me instead of being able to watch the stage. having to defensively put up my hands every few minutes to deflect a flying elbow really enhances the live show experience.
|
If you don't want to get hit, don't stand by the pit. [UNINTENTIONAL RHYME LOL!]

So many kids trying to dance to Darkest Hour on Saturday... circle pits to the rescue though. :D |

Especially in a small venue, where if you're not near the pit then you just can't see anything. |
Like I said, I hate when kids are fags and act like they're tough just because they dance. I agree that if the dancing detracts from the show, its lame.
|
let me beat cocaine to and say
yeah death metal |
it's that stupid attitude though that the more macho the sound is and the more rough the fans "dance" the more musical integrity the band has. It's a ridculous attitude to have, not to mention pretty dangerous with 50 arms spinning around. Not everyone wants to flex there muscles and act a twat, some just wanna enjoy the show.
|
A scene kid tried to dance in Nile's pit and he got the **** knocked out of him by 3 black metal kids. It was during a blastbeat/fast riff, too...don't they know that metalheads are going to beat the **** out of them if they do it...?
|
I only ever got seriously hurt by kids dancing in Philly, but that's FSU fags and I brought it on myself for making fun of straight edge kids.
|
Nile fans are just angry because they actually paid to see those douchebags play live.
also "metalheads" are all scum. |
All the "true" metalheads are ****ing scenefags too. Dress how you're comfortable and listen to whatever music you want, goddamn.
