That's what I was told. I would go and ask in the Hardcore forum, but they would pwn me and make me get the f[b]u[/b]ck out. Perhaps, someone should check. For posterity. I just want to own an Emo guy about Emo.

you could rephrase your statement so it made sense, the way you put it it does not.
The way you said it made it sound like all emo is hardcore which it is not. Hardcore can be dscribed as heavier emo, or metal music with more emotion.

you have to understand the people around here who post in the genre specific forums are those people who go to shows and try to prove how much more they deserve to be at the concert than you do. So of course not knowing anyhting is definitley a bad thign when going in there.

Well, AFAIK, the term Emo was coined by bands playing 'Emotional Hardcore'. TBH, I have no idea how much truth is in this, and it may have spawned mroe stuff from that anyway. I'm not one to look too far into it ;)

To be fair, I'm in a hardcore band, and a metalcore band, and a metal band. I don't dress it. Hell, I don't even wear jeans.

back to the chav thing, in america we almost have an equivalent. We call them wiggers. its a play off of the racist term for black people except we threw in a w for white people. So basically white people trying to be gangsta, am i close or did i misinterepret the site

Not quite, they're just very offensive, very stupid people who are very confrontational, and without generalising are often found in our working class...

at this point its understood that hardcore is usually emo or has emoish tendencies. Emo and hardcore came from the same place (Rites of spring). But the band played both genres and often mixed them.

having sex with someone in your immediate family
not showering
drinking a whole lot all the time
eating squirrel , that you caught and killed yourself
also usually having really odl world point of views (ie racist, sexcist, homophobic)
