Dimmu Burger 01-25-2010 11:31 AM

one band genre =/= a real genre

SlightlyEpic 01-25-2010 11:37 AM

how many bands does it take for it to be a legitimate genre?

cause, you know, I've been thinking about starting a mincecore band

Jaundice 01-25-2010 11:43 AM

i dig the making your own genre thing

i have this "awkward pop" thing in the works

HighandDriving 01-25-2010 12:03 PM

What do you mean by that?

Dimmu Burger 01-25-2010 12:24 PM

He's gonna be just like Lady Gaga

beans 01-25-2010 02:15 PM

cept more awkward

HighandDriving 01-25-2010 03:30 PM

Nice.

Jaundice 01-25-2010 03:35 PM

its a pretty broad concept but its like pop with doom metal, rap, prog, indie, krautrock, industrial, techno, blues and tribal influences

RetiredAt21 01-25-2010 11:46 PM

cool

landonius 01-27-2010 11:46 AM

I have to wonder how people can like Discordance Axis' album Jouhou more than The Inalienable Dreamless... any viewpoints? I like the first, but it just doesn't have the power that the second album has

HighandDriving 01-27-2010 12:07 PM

Lol you're loving DisAxis now eh, much better then C.U.N.T.

Personal preference maybe, but I know what you mean, The Inalienable Dreamless is pretty much the perfect grindcore album.

Also check out Gridlink, Jon's (vocalist) new band, they're pretty dope.

Jaundice 01-27-2010 02:57 PM

I like Inalienable Dreamless best but JouHou is good too. Was justlistening to it a few minutes ago.

This is awesome, and it's not even too different from new metal/grind artwork that I hate. But it lacks the over glossy photoshopped look.

Definitely stoked on this.

Txus 01-27-2010 09:32 PM

Have you heard their old stuff? It's quite great.
