but it's got "tama" on the bass reso. ??? sweet vid. so far though, i love funk drumming.
some pros will do that. since he endorses tama, he put a tama reso on, but used mapex drums. he could use whatever he wanted as long as he had a tama reso on the bass.

rockindrummer 09-24-2005 12:06 AM

not much, just amazingly tired from the week of school.

rockindrummer 09-24-2005 12:12 AM

Poppin that is a freaking awsome video man.

Brokensticks 09-24-2005 12:14 AM

It is a sweet video i watched it in your thread a couple hours ago

poppinfresh 09-24-2005 12:46 AM

oh thanks the i had trouble though, we had to make that video a few times cause the idiot who filmed me kept shaking.

I accomplished so much today. Me and my friend had zippy jackets on. So we pretended to be birds and i can do a pretty good crow impression. So everytime a car stopped in front of us and blocked our way we flew around the car a couple times and crowed. Then we got to guitar center, nothing interesting except this gothic girl with extremely low self esteem was playing guitar and my friend told me to watch her shred it was pretty amusing because she sucked and while we were standing next to her looking at really fast guitars she kept looking at us to make sure we were amazed. Holy **** im typing perfectly what the ****.

Then my badminton friend called and said that barefoot coffee roasters had free everything for their second anniversary so we went there. Some hick band was playing there. I ordered the thing with the most sugar, i was going to get another one but i kept telling them that they take so long and she wouldnt give me any. So i got a cup of ice and we through ice at this asian guy. Then we had races with those flicky things and the steel ball that you try to get into the U. I didnt win, mine didnt have a ball and i didnt realize it till later. Then we ran around outside screaming at people and jumping on cars. oh my friend covered his car in zumiezs stickers it looks pretty awesome, it looks way faster now.

rockindrummer 09-24-2005 12:55 AM

^ It sounds like you guys we totally tanked.

Sounds pretty fun though. Better than my day, school and some pretty intense jamming, this was the only good part of the day.

PowerStamp 09-24-2005 01:22 AM

I imagined you saying that post really fast in one breath, your voice getting higher and higher as it went on.

The image of two kids running around a car squawking is higly amusing, although I personally would have slammed open my door. ;)

So tonight, work, but we were out of Chocolate Chip cookies, so I had to go to another store to borrow some. On the way there, a firetruck comes ROARING behind me, I pull over and it turns right a few streets down (towards Metro North Mall and another McDonalds, but not the one I was borrowing from). Further down the road, I see another firetruck coming in the same direction. I borrow the cookies and leave.

I get to the intersection where the firetruck turned, and I see an ambulance speeding down the road, and I'm stopped at a red light. Smoke is EVERYWHERE, you can smell something burning really thick in the air (windows down, as always lol)
I was tempted to check it out but I went back to work cause the girl I like was working and she was teaching me to Waltz in between orders (lol!) and she was off soon.

I guess I'll find out what happened tomorrow on the news.

Oh yeah, this totally happened just a few blocks from my house.

poppinfresh 09-24-2005 01:25 AM

hey guys i need help deciding what to become.
my mom syas doctor or lawyer. But i hate those **** ****ing jobs. She also says that i have to get into stanford but dont worry about that i told her to be more realistic.

first i said psychologist, and she said they are all crazy. Even though they make like 500 bucks an hour. then i said neurologist and that was good then i realized what it was so i dont want to do that. Then i said sound engineering and ive been going to community college for that so i almost have my degreee so i wont have trouble getting into colege for that, but she heard the word sound and said no, even tohugh the top 10% make 82,512 dolla a year and job growth is expected to increase dramatically by 2012, and theres a lot of jobs there. I want to do something hands, something where i can keep my brain working and keep my hands busy, i dont want to let my brain rot and go to waste. I was thinking chef but apparently thats not good. She just wants it to sound good when she tells her friends. "my son is going to stanford...hes studying law...i drive a merdcedes...my son PWNS yours."
Uh i dont really know what to become at this point apparently acording to my mommy computers are going to take over everything and the only things people will know how to do is get sick and sue eachother. She thinks computers will take over all the jobs even though i repeatedly proved her wrong. I say screw mom and become whatever i want but shes the one with the money, not me.

rockindrummer 09-24-2005 01:26 AM

^ Wow that is pretty freaky man. Stuff like that is really scarey when you think about how it can just happen to you like that.

Well anyway I'm off to sleep. Gotta get up early, some guy is coming to look at the z custom crash i'm selling.

PowerStamp 09-24-2005 01:28 AM

How about a compromise of sorts Poppin?

Major in something to impress your mom and friends (Heck...who WOULDN'T want a law degree, just to get in an argument with your friend and bust it out. "I am better than you, assclown." ) and then Minor in something you want.

Or you can Major in what you want and Minor in something fancy, but tell your mom it's the other way around lol

poppinfresh 09-24-2005 01:34 AM

my mom says "just take four years law, then you can do whatever you want." WHAT A ****ING WASTE OF TIME THATS 4 DMAN YEARS WASTED IF IM NOT GOGING TO DO LAW!!!!!!!!

PowerStamp 09-24-2005 01:40 AM

Well while your mom is right that those are both EXCELLENT degrees to get that will land you in the "set for life" category, if you don't particularly care for either one it won't be any different to you than mowing lawns or working in a grocery store, just a drudge-bore job.

Do you not even know what you want to do yet? (just asking)

If not, you might want to just go to Community College for a year. Much cheaper, lets you get some credits built up and you can get ideas of what you want to do from classmates and your teachers.

poppinfresh 09-24-2005 01:44 AM

No i dont, thats what i was aksing help for. I dont really think i would want to go to community college, im going to get lazy. I need to searcha round more figure out what else there is.

PowerStamp 09-24-2005 01:47 AM

If you have any idea what college you want to go to, you could check their website (or just pick a few colleges and check their sites) and see what they offer.

I'm pretty sure there's somebody there you could call, College Counselor or something similar to that, that you could tell them your interests, the kind of job you'd want, where you excell in school/work, etc etc and they could give some suggestions.

Start checking out some college websites for course studies, and that'll get you a foot in the right direction.

First question to ask yourself: What makes me happy?
Second question: Is this something I truly love and could do for the next 50+ years?
get my drift?

Anyways, good luck man, I'm out for the night.

poppinfresh 09-24-2005 01:47 AM

i was thinking architect also since i can get my creativity out that way and since i have a strentgh in math. And some architect told me i would make a good architect when i was three or four because i did a good job of measuring his chimney.

PowerStamp 09-24-2005 01:48 AM

*just saw your new post*

Architect would be awesome man, that's something I always have been personally considering myself.
Look some stuff up on that online, see what kind of courses you'd need and whatnot, but that's a great career choice (that mum can be proud of too ;) )

poppinfresh 09-24-2005 01:49 AM

yeah actually that is what im looking for, something that i could do and keep myself entertained but i dont seem to reach an agreement. Maybe architect.

Thanks for oyur help powerstamp.

Epiphender 09-24-2005 04:02 AM

If you stomp on wasps, the dead ones attract new ones, it's pretty cool. It's like with every death, there's more bait.
