I think it was just part of the 'WOO HOO! eMOTIVE sucks! Something we can complain about MJK at last without being flamed' backlash. People either confused it, or assumed it was just as bad

jozs bassline doesnt match the song for sober or stinkfist. i recorded the tracks but there way off time and i did mine to the actual cd

You sure it doesnt fit Stinkfist? Im pretty sure thats one of his closer ones

But yeah, sober seems off, I had trouble timing it to the actual album track.

Which means it's someones interpretation of his song, it's not gonna match the CD.

I think he has extra bars in stinkfist, i remember someone saying...

Our best bet is to track him down and ask him for the midis he used. this will allow us to look through powertab/Guitar pro/sibelius/whatever the hell you want at what he is playing so we can play accordingly, i just went with my ear on aenima but i only did a simple part really, you're gonna need to know what parts to play when with the drums...

if we all just recorded the cd it would be alot easier

Its goig to be tough doing some of these songs, as even if you used the drums as the base pattern, there are some bass trigger notes for the drummer to listen for, then the same woth guitar and vox. Hopefully we can all be singing (strumming and bashing) to the same song sheet in some way.

Harmony assistant is exactly the same as powertab/guitar pro/whatever he just imported a midi and played off it, you can hear it in the background...if we get him to send us the midis we will all have the same sheet.

Tool have never released a single. They came close with Schisim, but only radio releases have ever happened.

They have doen several great videos though, and Parabola was one of them (probably the best too)

Leave it to the gurus to correct me :o

I've only seen the Schism video, I think. And one from Undertow... I think it was Sober. I can hear the song in my head, but that might not be the correct song name.

I'm obviously not a Tool guru :ashamed:
