I just listened to Lost Horizon - A flame to the ground beneath. Not really what I was expecting. Music is really good, vocals are great, but they aren't what I love so.. it's like their good for some songs, and less for others but well.

yep, they're easily my favorite power metal band. though nightwish, blind guardian, and lost horizon are all amazing.

Oh jeez, where to begin... hahaha. just listen to the song "the end of all hope" by them. that song defines epic for me. and i'm still convinced that if dream theater kicked out labrie and replaced him with roy khan, the world would implode because the perfect band had been made.

Think gonna download the album which contain the end of all hope.

But man, from what Ive heard (one album) of Dream Theater.. James LaBrie is really great man, I really like his voice. I wouldn't replace t for Khan

Their last 3 albums: Century Child, Once, and Dark Passion Play, drift more towards the symphonic side of things. Once and Wishmaster are their power metal albums.

Train of Thought is actually one of my favorites by them. But I'd suggest scenes from a memory or images and words. maybe octavarium.
