DisposableHeroes 04-17-2005 11:40 AM

Anyone else heard Voivod - War And Pain? Its growing on me at the minute, very thrashy

FatalEnergy 04-17-2005 11:44 AM

yeah, I got it, it's cool, but Snakes singing isn't very good IMO

oh.....EVERYONE, I'm sure you all really liked Morbid Saint....well, there is an another album by them after Spectrum of Death called "Destruction System" it was unreleased, but if someone possibly can, try and hunt down for this album, because I thought Spectrum of Death was great and I can't get enough of it, and would be great to find another album by them!!

DisposableHeroes 04-17-2005 11:46 AM

Its more punky, but for some reason it reminds me of Rob Halford's voice but gruffer, like what he does in Riding On The Wind

I'll see if i can find it on WinMX, its worth a shot

FatalEnergy 04-17-2005 12:03 PM

I've been looking on Soulseek, but have been coming up with nothing

DisposableHeroes 04-17-2005 12:04 PM

I got a video of Legacy - Alone In The Dark live from Thrash 'o The Titans if anyone wants it

metal-militia 04-17-2005 12:28 PM

I've got that, its pretty good.

Do you all go in the Thrash room on slsk?

DisposableHeroes 04-17-2005 12:36 PM

I dont have soulseek, i should get it though

RCA 04-17-2005 01:41 PM

No, I stay in the mxrockandmetal room.

Doesnt it cost money?

ForiegnPenguin 04-17-2005 02:46 PM

No its free, unless you donate to it.

How is The Gathering?

RCA 04-17-2005 05:53 PM

The Testament album? It's very repetitive, and all of the songs are structured in pretty much the same way. A die-hard Testament fan would enjoy it though. My "favorite" song from that album would have to be Legions of the Dead.

ATTN: I bought Mekong Delta's "The Music of Erich Zann" today, listened to it, and was amazed. It's great technical/progressive thrash; I highly recommend that everyone buys/downloads it.

FatalEnergy 04-17-2005 06:29 PM

has anyone heard of Sacrifice from Canada? they defiantley shred

RCA 04-17-2005 06:48 PM

Sacrifice owns! I listen to "Soldiers of Misfortune" regularly.

Weird, my post count went down.

FatalEnergy 04-17-2005 06:53 PM

I just downloaded "Solider of Misfortune" and it rules!!! but for some reason the song Lost Through Time skips. Like the person ripped it from a scratched cd and, I can't find anyone else who has that song

Apocalyptic Raids 04-17-2005 08:57 PM

I have the Thrash room on soulseek oin auto-join so im always in there. I can't find mxrockandmetal on the room list

MAthiAS 04-17-2005 10:25 PM

I don't really understand how Soulseek works.

FatalEnergy 04-17-2005 10:55 PM

Soulseek really isn't that complicated. Man, I've looked all day for that other Morbid Saint album. No Luck, I did e-mail a guy who said he has it, so mabye he'll email me back :D if he dosen't he's a douche

NP:Sacrifice - A Storm In The Silence (this is a heck of an addicting song!!) :D

yeah, i've downloaded all thier stuff and its great.

Nice find RCA, Mekong Delta are good, but i think thier music is a bit wierd for some reason. They just don't seem like a normal thrash band.

sensitiveorgan00 04-18-2005 02:53 PM

^ Yeah, I heard a lot of good stuff about Mekong Delta. I want to check them out.

Any Forbidden fans in here? I downloaded Twisted Into Form courtesy of RCA, and it's not bad. :thumb:

Are you talking about "Destruction System"? If you are able to get the whole thing transfered to your computer, burn it to a CD-R and mail it to me (because I know I won't be able to browse you on Soulseek). If it costs anything, I'll pay for it. :D

I have Forbidden mp3's?

metal-militia 04-18-2005 03:03 PM

Forbidden Evil is excellent and Twisted into Form is good.

Finally got around to ordering Overkill - Years of Decay today, as well as Infernal Majesty - None Shall Defy.

Oh whoops, not you. Sorry, haha it's just that I get a lot of shi.t from you. I was actually disappointed that you didn't have it. :p

whatduffhuck7 04-18-2005 04:28 PM

do any other thrash fans here like speed metal. like Cob, norther, or kalmah. that type of music. i like it alot. its really just fast guitars and everything else. mostly they have keyboards too. some pretty talented guitarist in this genre too.

its probably more power metal with harsh vocals. but i call it speed metal.

ForiegnPenguin 04-18-2005 04:44 PM

I have Twisted Into Form and it is good. And the only Speed Metal I have is Painkiller, which is great.

RavenousMetalist87 04-18-2005 06:37 PM

I saw Forbidden Evil at my local Tower Records, but ****it, they want like I think 18 bucks for it.

If I get enough money saved up (considering I'll be getting some camo pants and hopefuly an M-16 ammo belt...pwnage!!!!!!!!!!11111 lol), I'll go back and get it. The funny thing is that everytime I goto Tower, I always find some great CDs for such interesting prices, and yet no one into metal at my age wants it.

Then again, I'm only 17 o.o;;;

Apocalyptic Raids 04-18-2005 09:37 PM

/jealous

I have Forbidden Evil and Twisted Into Form, they are pretty good, but some of the songs on FE have really goofy sounding vocakl delivery.

SensitiveOrgan: Whats your Soulseek username?

NP: Mercyful Fate - Curse Of The Pharoahs

FatalEnergy 04-18-2005 11:27 PM

hey!!! I got Morbid Saint's 2nd album!!!!!!!!! The bass player of the band sent me the link!!

http://www.pcmdusa.com/ms/ds/ds.htm

it's not as good as "Spectrum" and it's a lot more Death/Thrash, but it's worth a listen

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (more "!'s" for the hell of it)

Apocalyptic Raids 04-19-2005 03:22 AM

Metal-Archives says Destruction System is their third album. Thanks for the link though!!
