A radio station here in LA. It sucks.

I sometimes listen to Big Sonic Heaven, two hours of like shoegaze and dream pop and other things. Monday through Friday, 10 PM to midnight, I think.

on the community station on this one dj's show he sometimes plays just shoegaze and post punk stuff which is cool, but he doesnt do it very often

I wish we got not gay radio stations.

My school has a radio station. I used to want to check it out until I walked through the building where it's located and saw a bunch of fat chicks in front of the mics.

My local alternative (RHCP and Green Day lol) radio station has like a once a week show with "indie muzik" like the New Pornos, Pinback, Spoon, and Band of Horses.

And terrible local bands.

when people ask me what i listen to its hard because i have to sidestep around the word "indie" because i hate saying it but i dont know how else to relate the kind of music i listen to to something they are familiar with but they probably just think its dumb that im afraid to say indie because i wont say "everything" either

i abstract all these sub genres into the word indie because it's easy and it doesn't matter tbh

i mean in terms of talking about music. like if they say 'oh yeah i listen to indie'

but its also become associated with a lot of bands and a commercialized culture that i wouldnt consider indie, so i tend to shy away from use of the word.

That is an all-star lineup. I saw Sonic Youth a couple months ago, and it was fantastic. I don't know about how good the Meat Puppets are live, but they've made two of my favorite albums ever.
