No. As in percussionists banging on trashcans.

So I got my schedule for next year and somehow all my classes fit and i am taking electronics which is sweetass and one out of the 4 people in my algebra II class who our teacher deemed good enough in maths to take calculus.

...and i dont have to take finals.

Wanker 05-11-2005 05:16 PM

W00t. Only a week of school left tomorow.

Essentials of Literature: Professor might give us an essay to write (or might not; he said he hasn't decided yet) that would be due before the scheduled final so I won't need to stay for the final.

Self & Society: We show up on the day of the final and fill out a survey based on the curriculum(sp).

Basic TV Broadcast: Test for the final (lame)

Writing For Print News Media: Write a 500-word article on the showing of a documentary about Libby, Montana.

I can't wait to get home and lay around. *sigh*

Happymeal 05-11-2005 05:50 PM

Summer won't come soon enough:mad: I envy my friends back home. And I still don't know what course to take in Uni. Friggin' North American school system.

Schools are fun, just like pizza.

zola_bola 05-11-2005 06:26 PM

I go to an alternative school. We don't get grades. Here's my report card, basically verbatim:

Language Arts: :D
Mathematics: :)
Biology:
Spanish: :upset:

Still? You have plenty of time until you have to decide, man.

Well_Respected_Man 05-11-2005 08:04 PM

I like how the Pop Group do pop.

Luxor 05-11-2005 08:09 PM

I like your avatar, that's what I like.
Still? You have plenty of time until you have to decide, man.
But I have to choose the right courses for next year by this week. It's the prerequisites for university I'm worried about.

It's more like a soggy burger to me right now.

Soggy with CHILI!

P.S. Who ever said something about the Pop Group just earned 15 NPC Points.

I like your avatar. Magritte is a fabulous artist. My background used to be the one similar to that one, only it was a lady with flowers over her face.

that sounds neat, but the farther you go in life, the less impressed people will be with you telling them your grade was ":)" I hope it helps you learn anyway though; I didn't have any problem with the public school system but I understand a lot of other kids do.
I don't hate on much besides The VU and Love as it is.

Tonight I have a band concert. We're playing some crazy stuff, including a movement of a piece called "Ghost Train" by Eric Whitacre. It's a pretty cool piece, Whitacre really isn't that bad (although he's pretty derivative). As far as high school band work, his stuff is perhaps as good as new music gets. In this performance, we begin with a single spotlight on a flute soloist who plays a really spooky, quiet line. About 4 bars later, we all interrupt her with unbelievably obnoxious sounds, and all the lights go out except for onstage blacklights. It's going to be intense.
One of our school bands did that piece last year. Man it rocks.
I don't think I've written much about Joy Division in a very long time and I don't think that makes a difference. In any case I just spent a good amount of my time listing just of some the groups/artists that I have in my large collection. And so what? If a band sucks well I'm going to say it. Being blunt is the best way to communicate, cut out the middle man and fire away. I think too many of you fanboys take your favorite music too seriously can't take it when someone else doesn't like it.
Meh. I just don't see you making positive comments about bands often.

Meh is right, 'meh' is most of the music brought up in here.

wow the very last thread of the page

/revives.

br3ad_man 05-13-2005 12:41 AM

I have a headache. Oh well, I'm going to go put some Blackalicious and Public Enemy on the computer at my church so we can finally have some hip-hop playing instead of all of this crappy Pearl Jam.

Reaganista 05-13-2005 12:49 AM

Jesus doesn't listen to Public Enemy.

br3ad_man 05-13-2005 12:51 AM

That's a shame. They're good.

Reaganista 05-13-2005 12:54 AM

Jesus is too obesessed with Sufjan Stevens and Pedro the Lion to listen to anything else.

br3ad_man 05-13-2005 01:08 AM

Well, I guess that's fair enough then.

Zmev 05-13-2005 03:11 AM

Jesus likes Pearl Jam because Eddie Vedder looks like him.

Iai 05-13-2005 06:48 AM

I actually bet Jesus looks just like Flava Flav.

Iai 05-13-2005 07:04 AM

Oh snuffles. You've rumbled me.

Zmev 05-13-2005 07:09 AM

You have hair like George Harrison.

Iai 05-13-2005 07:13 AM

.....directed at me?

Zmev 05-13-2005 07:13 AM

Sure, if you do.

Iai 05-13-2005 07:16 AM

Yeah, I need a haircut. But then I won't look so scene any more.

Electrocution 05-13-2005 10:52 AM

I've literally never seen a real emo in my whole life. Must be connected to the fact that I live far away from civilization, here in central europe.

Luxor 05-13-2005 12:08 PM

I just played Starcraft for 2 hours... I think I have a problem.
