Many years ago today
Something grew inside of your mother
That thing was YOU!
YOU!
You! You! You! You!
Did she scream? Did she cry?
Only those that are born are ones that get to die.
One more year goes hurting by.
Body, organs ripping, rotting
Vile lungs a grotesque chorus
Birthday equals nothing for us
R S V P Please
For the death of me
You have little time
You're running out of life
Happy Birthday. You're gonna die!
Time-Time-Tick-ing
Birth-day-Death-day
Die-die-Death-day
Birth-day-Death-day

Anyone who wants to give a non-biased opinion on a black metal song should go to myspace.com/ausgeblutet and listen to the first song and tell me what you think. It's a rough demo.

How is everyone today?

what the **** is with the drums

Eliminator 10-14-2007 02:19 PM

lol i see the drums are still ridiculous!

Tyler 10-14-2007 02:20 PM

the drumming needs to be toned down like 99% at least

Eliminator 10-14-2007 02:21 PM

also in my unbiased objective opinion bras music still ****ing sucks

Nostalgia 10-14-2007 02:22 PM

Dude, yeah. The drums sound like you're jackhammering the sidewalk.

Invicta_Veritas 10-14-2007 02:23 PM

So it's uber-fast blast beating, what of it? It's only 200 BPM; reminicent of the intro to "Blood on the Swans" by Kataklysm. Not the first time it's been done.....

Tyler 10-14-2007 02:23 PM

it sounds ridiculous

Invicta_Veritas 10-14-2007 02:24 PM

Tone-wise, or do you guys just not like the blasting?

Tyler 10-14-2007 02:25 PM
Tone-wise, or do you guys just not like the blasting?
tone wise mostly. it's too loud and it just sounds like kicks going really fast.

pate 10-14-2007 02:27 PM

The really fast parts sound super fake and machine gunny.

Invicta_Veritas 10-14-2007 02:27 PM

Okay, good. We've been doing a lot of work in the past couple of days to change the tone of everything, and I think the drums will sit in the mix a little better on the actual recording.
@Cocaine

Pate: The drums are programmed, so I only have so much control over that, but I think we've made some good changes.

Anything else? Vox, anything?

Nostalgia 10-14-2007 02:28 PM

Vocals aren't bad actually.

Tyler 10-14-2007 02:29 PM

The song was fine other than the drums. Some of the guitars were a little loud.

Invicta_Veritas 10-14-2007 02:35 PM

Thanks guys.

Yeah, I have a lot of experience with programmed drums, but you can do things like varying the volumes of hits to make it seem a bit less mechanical.

i am the robots 10-14-2007 02:58 PM

i liek seeing my graffix on ur page.

youve improved shitloads axl. especially your vocals.

but uhh... intro to roses line the coffin sounds a bit close to beneath dying skies.

overall good job, though, as everyone said, the drums could be less mechanical, but youll get the hang of that probably.

only thing i didnt like was the spoken part.

Niflheim 10-14-2007 02:59 PM

whoa BRA that song is a monument of utter black devastation reminiscent of the glory days of the norweigan scene, want to 12" split LP?

Haha

I wish it didn't cost so much to produce vinyls, I'd love to release something on vinyl :(

well they are about a dollar each to press a 12" but then all the additional costs that come with doing a vinyl release really add up.

Tyler 10-14-2007 03:27 PM

i need a new avatar

The Door Mouse 10-14-2007 03:35 PM

Che Guevara has gotten overly cliche.

Yeah but $1 is about 100 times the cost of a CD to burn. The additional costs are much more comparable to CDs but still a little more expensive anyways I believe.

edit: cliche guevara hehe oh against me

Tyler 10-14-2007 03:35 PM
Che Guevara has gotten overly cliche.
hence the nike swoosh

Niflheim 10-14-2007 03:36 PM

well vinyl quality > cd quality so I would say it is worth it

Permanent Solution 10-14-2007 03:37 PM
well vinyl quality > cd quality so I would say it is worth it
Only if you can convince other people to agree and pay the extra.

Niflheim 10-14-2007 03:41 PM

Well I wasn't looking at it through a business perspective because nothing is coming out of my pocket, do you mean pay the extra for the press or people paying the extra to obtain the finished product? If it is the latter I always notice vinyl being on par or cheaper than most CDs in stores. Vinyl is undeniably better quality than a CD, analog recordings sound so much better.

Eliminator 10-14-2007 03:46 PM

vinyl is great just not the most convenient unfortunately

then again when im listening to music in that format i tend to sit there and actually listen to the music more

Iluvatar 10-14-2007 04:02 PM

Matter of opinion really but I buy vinyl when I can.

Kage 10-14-2007 04:04 PM

I buy releases that actually lend themselves to vinyl.

For example I'm listening to Hinder's debut on vinyl right now.

Eliminator 10-14-2007 04:05 PM

yeah bro thats a time-tested classic

Iluvatar 10-14-2007 04:08 PM

So I hear R&M is the place to be.

aka I see this is how eliminator got his post count so high so I'm following!

pulseczar 10-14-2007 04:09 PM

ugh don't sell your soul to R&M

Eliminator 10-14-2007 04:10 PM

r&m is better than most of the other forums tbh

Kage 10-14-2007 04:10 PM

I agree with Eliminator.

pulseczar 10-14-2007 04:11 PM

but what about alt/indie, it's where you can find out what pixiesfanyo listens to!
