McP3000 05-18-2008 01:48 AM

yeah

they're -core, but lack breakdowns...its sad ill be shunned if i mention PD again

Pete 05-18-2008 03:58 AM

what

theyre grindcore, that has very little to do with metalcore

especially the kind of metal"core" being discussed in here

why are you vaginally irritated about this, instead of just posting in the grind thread?

2muchket! 05-18-2008 04:49 PM

good local metalcore http://profile.myspace.com/athousandbattleslost

dinosaurxbrocore 05-18-2008 04:51 PM

they seem alright, i couldnt help notice an architects riff at like 41 seconds in the first song though

2muchket! 05-18-2008 04:53 PM

Aye they are quite influenced by architects

Regardless they're excellent live as well

Xplisit 05-18-2008 07:36 PM

I heard a song by A Plea for Purging that I really liked today. A pretty low-key metalcore band, I'd say. But the guitar work on the track 'The ressurection of the beast' is pretty good. :thumb:

botb 05-18-2008 07:38 PM

they overdo the tapping imo, but i still enjoy their record. ressurection of the beast is probably my favorite by them as well.

Dimmu Burger 05-18-2008 08:32 PM

Anybody wanna review my band's EP and put it up on sputnik?

4yearpro? 05-18-2008 08:42 PM

yeah me too. I'd probly give the album a 3, its definitely good. I've seen them twice in the past month or so, the only thing that annoyed me is how cocky the lead guitarist seems to be, and how much of a poser the drummer is. But their vocalist is a funny dude.

illpressureurhinges1 05-18-2008 09:13 PM

Awesome. Will start listening to it asap. Nice name for a band by the way.

Dimmu Burger 05-18-2008 09:14 PM

Lol yeah we're trying to come up with something else for a name, but no luck so far.

adb 05-18-2008 09:15 PM

DB if you want exposure you should ask for your album to be posted here:
Lol yeah we're trying to come up with something else for a name, but no luck so far.
It's cool. What's your part in this band?

Dimmu Burger 05-18-2008 09:17 PM

I play bass and do some vocals.

adb 05-18-2008 09:18 PM
I just did that today actually. I love that blog!
yeah me too, Vale of Pnath freaking owns.

Dimmu Burger 05-18-2008 09:19 PM

I didn't get it cause its not a full length, but since you say its good i'll go ahead and get it.

illpressureurhinges1 05-18-2008 09:20 PM
I play bass and do some vocals.
Alright cool. You guys are really heavy on the double bass, but then again that's pretty much expected from a metalcore band.

Dimmu Burger 05-18-2008 09:22 PM

Actually you should hear the new stuff, lol. Its leaps and bounds better and faster than that album.

adb 05-18-2008 09:24 PM
I didn't get it cause its not a full length, but since you say its good i'll go ahead and get it.
oh its good, in my top 5 of the year so far easily... tell me what you think after

illpressureurhinges1 05-18-2008 09:24 PM

Well that's good. Now if only you had a good name to go with it.

Dimmu Burger 05-18-2008 09:25 PM

Nice! I read that it's like Necrophagist.
Well that's good. Now if only you had a good name to go with it.
Yeah freakin a. My singer doesn't like anything I come up with. He wants to be Five Mile Fall. It sounds like an alternative rock band to me. I might eventually cave in though just so we aren't FUA anymore.

adb 05-18-2008 09:29 PM

I'd say its a mix of Arsis and Necrophagist w/ the occasional breakdown

Dimmu Burger 05-18-2008 09:29 PM

Doesn't sound bad.

illpressureurhinges1 05-18-2008 09:31 PM

Well what are some of your ideas?

botb 05-18-2008 09:32 PM
I'd say its a mix of Arsis and Necrophagist w/ the occasional breakdown
What band is this? Sounds like you're talking about Beneath the Massacre...
Well what are some of your ideas?
Lemme see if I can remember any:

When Gods Sleep
Your Doom
Post Apocolyptic Vegas
Gaius Baltar

I had a bunch more but can't remember.

illpressureurhinges1 05-18-2008 09:44 PM

I like When Gods Sleep and Gaius Baltar much better than Five Mile Fall.

Dimmu Burger 05-18-2008 09:45 PM

Yeah I know I'm biased but mine are way better.

FreeSmells 05-18-2008 10:19 PM

How about "When Gods Take A Five Mile Fall to Your Doom Vegas Style"

illpressureurhinges1 05-18-2008 10:21 PM

That's a pretty fair compromise. Might be kind of tedious to remember and put on merch, albums, etc.
