The Conductor's Departure is one of the best tech death releases I've ever heard.

Anata rules. Their drummer reminds me of Neil Peart for some reason.

anata is dope. one of the few good tech death bands imo.

Yeah, Pierced From Within is a really good album, but I still say that Effigy is better. And yeah, Conny Petterson is a fantastic drummer. He actually incorporates his double kicks nicely instead of just pounding away.

I like 2112 and half of Moving Pictures.

I like a bunch of Rush songs. They're a good band overall.

I listened to 3 hours of Rush on a road trip last weekend with friends and by all accounts it was progtastic goodness.

No, Kage is. But yeah, I like King Crimson quite a bit also. Other correct answers would have been Richard Wright or Mike Oldfield (in addition to Pink Floyd, of course).
