Actually this thread is one of the few in here that is still going strong, so that's good.

There was a white-belt thread that was going strong for awhile then just died.

Is it just me or is Anaal Nathrakh extremely repetitive? I mean, it's not uncommon for metal to be repetitive, but they seem to be to the point where I've listened to them on countless occasions over the past 2 years and I still can't distinguish any of their songs really.

they have a couple of cool distinguishable riffs, but they get boring for me as well.

I remember I particularly liked the song "The Destroying Angel" I don't remember what album it's on or really what it sounds like though.

anaal nathrakh is 99% crap but they have a few songs that melt face





and yeah watchmaker are noisy as **** in a good way. They need to get back together ASAP.

The majority of their songs do sound the same, but if I remember correctly they have a few from their earlier material that stand out. Forget the names.

if all the songs sound the same how can some be amazing and the majority crap? You'd think they'd all have the same relative goodness more or less

well some songs can have better riffs or a certain part that is really cool and sticks out more than the rest...

I disagree.. there's a lot a variety in Constellation... Only other stuff I heard from them is Eschaton wich is very entertaining and Domine.. that got a great mood.

Mumakil is what I would call samey. Behold.. is like one big battle elephant ride. Intense but monotonous.

EDIT @ shaad: I think both AN and Mumakil are pretty boring. It was weird, like a couple months ago everyone started heiling them all the sudden and I'm like wtfz they aren't that good.
