Yeah. We get the last 10 days or so of June, all of July and August, and the first week of September usually.
That is a high quality summer. |
I didn't have a whole lot of friends going into this school in grade 9, I came from public. I was only friends with Brandon and knew a few others. By the start of grade 10, I didn't have a whole lot of friends, but I still wanted to go back to see who I did talk to. Now I actually have more than 4 friends at the school so I predict this summer the same thing will happen.
Zach: I remember thinking the exact same thing.:p
Haha ya. Why did you switch from public to private school? |

I only have a couple friends at school, and I'll see them a lot over the summer, so I hate going back to school.
That is a high quality summer.
yep. nothing better. - I have a feeling I'm going to do really bad in english this quarter. I probably should have read the Odyssey instead of just looking at online notes. :-\ |

I will do fine in English we are just finishing up a novel, and then we will be doing a research paper all 4th quarter. I always don't feel like trying the fourth quarter though. I think I am going to do very very bad in Chemistry though. I'm already off to a really bad start. |
Haha ya. Why did you switch from public to private school?
It's not a private school. There's not much difference between the public high school and the catholic high school. The catholic school teaches religion as mandatory classes and has uniform. The catholic school is much closer, 10 minute walk compared to a 20 minute walk. I didn't like many of the people I went to school with in grades 7 and 8, but some I did and kinda wish I didn't leave them, but happy I did because I met new people. |
I hate english, because I hate reading and writing.
I'm doing fine in the rest of my classes, and I might be able to pull off a good grade in english if I'm really lucky. |
I'm doing really well in English. I have an 88% so far and my essay will be marked and included on my midterm report and I did really well on it.

Well was it your choice to switch schools? I love Geometry which is the math class I'm in this year. Pre-Calc is going to suck next year. |

Haha, if I end up doing poorly, it'll probably be like an 80-85%. Anything lower than an 'A' is bad to me, but at the same time, I don't work hard, so I guess I can't complain. :-\ |

I love Geometry which is the math class I'm in this year. Pre-Calc is going to suck next year.
Yeah. My sister did the same thing 4 years before me, so I decided to follow in her footsteps. Brian: It's my highest mark so far. Bad for me is in the 70's or lower. |
Anything under a B is bad for me. I have been getting A's this year which surprises me because I usually have a B average, but this year I have been getting all A's all year. I'm not doing anything different this year either, I barely every do homework and I don't study for anything.
Brian: It's my highest mark so far. Bad for me is in the 70's or lower.
Isn't your grading scale different though? Isn't a 70% still a B? |
Brian: It's my highest mark so far. Bad for me is in the 70's or lower.
My parents would flip if I got below a 'B' as a quarter mark. :-\ Zach: I never study either. I always pull A's and B's too. |
I made honour roll in semester one, and I'm hoping to make it again this semester. If I don't make it this semester it will be because of music because right now it's 73%.
|
the only reason why i made honor roll is because i got an A+ in my band class
|
Zach: I never study either. I always pull A's and B's too.
I don't take any honors classes or anything either. But I know it is going to catch up to me, I'm going to need to change my habits sooner or later. I'm just a lazy person.
80+ is an A 70-79% is a B 60-69% is a C 50-59 % is a D Below 50 is an F
DANG I would kill for that grading scale, man.
the only reason why i made honor roll is because i got an A+ in my band class
Haha Mr Drummer jumps into the convo. Ya I don't have any music classes this year. Kind of bugs me. |
80+ is an A

In semester 1 I had an 84% average.
77% in Careers (Careers is only half a semester class, I got 85% in Civics) 91% in Math 87% in Communication Technology 76% in Science |

Holy crap, I wish we had half symester classes. We have full year classes and symester classes thats it. My school offers so many courses though its unreal. |
I just spent an hour on the phone with my house. Wow, the time I don't have extra time to kill I'm doing a damn good job of it.
And now I'm on mx. I rock :p |
YOU ONLY HAVE 4 CLASSES!!!!! Holy crap, I wish we had half symester classes. We have full year classes and symester classes thats it. My school offers so many courses though its unreal.
Yeah, four classes is much better. Civics and Careers comes as a package and it mandatory for all Grade 10. They are each worth half a credit. |
my school calls it a "block scheduling" or sumthin like that
|
I have 7 classes a symester and a mandatory homeroom class. Next year they are getting rid of homeroom and making everyone have a mandatory study hall with like 400 kids in each study hall. It will be cool for like two weeks then be retarded. A symester of a class is worth one credit.
my school calls it a "block scheduling" or sumthin like that
Ya thats what I have at my school, but we have 8 classes and 4 a day. We have a black and gold day and they alternate. |
I take 4-5 classes a semester.
5 is usually hell. |
This semester I only have 4 classes and there's no switching half way through.
Music 73% History 80-85% English 88% Religion 80-85% So I should make honour roll providing I keep my marks up through the final term. |
Ya thats what I have at my school, but we have 8 classes and 4 a day. We have a black and gold day and they alternate.
black and gold day?? we call it an A and B day...lol thats cool |
