I read it. I just hate UnderOath, so I didnt have much to say. |
Steerpike I'd like to read your script.

I started reading it, but then realized I have to finish my story. It seemed good up to where I read though.
|
Just watched Sunset Boulevard. Gloria Swanson was creepy as hell.

X Japan are awesome. I love when they randomly do pushups. |
Provide answers for my questions then?
I have trouble typing scientific texts in english but most importantly your questions dont prove God's existence. In other words, it's not logically correct to attribute phenomena you cant fully explain to some mysterious existence.
I just need email addresses if I don't already have them.
Out of curiousity: AcquiredDisguise@yahoo.gr Soulseek chatrooms these stupid kids would be tr00er if they bought some albums...
I don't get it. I've had this avatar ever since about 100 posts, and it's not leaving anytime soon. :)
I have to make extra effort to realize that you're actually a guy because of this avatar >_> <_< |
Hey Everyone. What's up?
|
jammed at a friends last night. Hes a punk-style drummer. Another MXer drove an hour and 20 to hang out, jam, and get a lesson of sorts.
I must have given him about 80 bucks on reference material and some technique pointers to boot. He seemed excited. I finally got to CRANK the new triple rectifier. Surprisingly my ears only rang for about 2 hours afterward  |

After he took over the PRS for a bit, he just played some sh!t out of time that he didnt attempt to fit with the beat. i explained to him how important it was to FEEL the groove, so to speak, and came up with a jam that i KNEW Cody (drummer) would be into. It was a little punk style beat. Cody was actually keeping time and had some nice changes. Apparently Kevin (other guitarist) thought it was really good, and so did Cody. I explained to them that if I can do it/play it, it sucks  |

I guess it's the first step towards starting a much-needed American Melodic Folk Metal band. We desperately need a drummer, though - percussion makes the music. Currently we have myself on bass, a lead guitarist and a rhythm guitarist who could also do keyboards because he's had a lot of experience on the piano. Our ultimate goal is to become a folk metal band based around Greek myth. I think Jay (King Of Terrors) has the same idea for his fledgeling group as well. |

I just got sick of arseholes yelling, like they think their my fukking dad, or people that refuse to practice outside of jam sessions. I figure id just work on me for a while, and let others worry about themselves. I figure it will come together on its own eventually |

I just try and find skilled musicians who are able to step outside their comfort zone in terms of their musical tastes. That's all I can ask for. |

yea definitely man definitely. When i was LOOKING for a band, i would habitually step outside of my genre-comfort zone. I just wanted to play. After putting up with low caliber individuals, and 45 year olds that act like they are 12, I kind of adopted the habbit of looking for chill dudes first, and musicians second kinda sucks, but thats what those jerks did to me |

The guys have to be able to play, but I'd rather have a sucky vocalist who can learn to sing rather than have a good vocalist who can't learn to have respect. |

perfectly stated man :thumb: people in general made me re-think of my game plan. Now i wanna be one of those dudes that shows up to an audion, and people's jaw drops. Obviously this will take time, but i work at it with a passion. |

I offer this to a lot of people, but if you are ever in need of a bass line to play along to, I can record it and YSI it to you. And, damn, do I need a drummer. I can do vocals for now, and a keyboardist is a commodity that can wait, but a drummer is a necessity. Why aren't there any drummers here who'll roll the double bass and help us out? I guess I'll have to wait for a big selection of people until I go to California. The family is probably moving there. |

in a band type format, pretty much anything non-punk/emo related ive recently gotten into metal for its complexity. This week, NEVERMORE, Jetho Tull, Led Zeppelin, Radiohead, and the list is long and diverse i also listen to GOOD rap, like talib kweli, and Deltron. Something that has content and un-uniform beats |

Right now I'm in class, so I won't be on. Gotta go right now and I'll be on mx and AIM later today. |

Theory is based off piano, its make everything you do easier when dealing with any sort of theory or vocal parts. Piano is also a required instrument for any music major. |
