I'd bet money
That you'll marry a honey
Who's pretty and funny
And her name'll be BOB.

;p

The P-bass is fine. The recent talking with the Guitar Labs luthier (Harrison) has gotten me excited. I'm considering doing that American Deluxe conversion soon (soon = 6-7 months hahaha), and adding, guess what, a Series/Parallel switch. :amaze: I might have to send him my Curbow and have a Series/Parallel switch on that too. I played a Sterling yesterday and it owned.

ShelBel 09-18-2004 04:24 PM

Me bored too. At work (again), listening to Liz Phair, thinking I'd like to cover "F*** and Run", just 'cos it'd be funny to see the look on some guys' faces. Wish I had "Whipsmart" instead of "Exile in Guyville" to listen to though. *sigh*

So who's all around, anyhow? Hell, I'd have a conversation about "The DaVinci Code" if I had to, just to talk about SOMETHING.

Just wishing there were two of me at the moment: computer tech me, and bass player me. That way, computer tech me could sit here and man the Help Desk and read up on Novell, and bass player me could drive down to the nearest Guitar Center and play some new basses to see what caught my fancy.

*sigh*

thelowsoundofbass 09-18-2004 05:14 PM

ooo new basses, what would you play? i would play a ibanez 6er, then drool all over it. resulting in me being kicked out of the store.

Radiobass81 09-18-2004 05:16 PM

I would play a multi octaved bass, just for the fun of it :).

ShelBel 09-18-2004 05:22 PM

I'm just looking to upgrade from my Squier to... something else. Actually, I want to try my hand a 5er, and at the moment- based purely on looks alone, mind you- I'm aiming for an Ibanez BTB305 or 405. I like that they have 24 frets and a 35" scale.

I'd aim for a Peavey Cirrus, or as long as we're talking WAY OUT OF PRICE RANGE, a Pedulla Rapture, if I could....

thelowsoundofbass 09-18-2004 05:24 PM

get a ibanez sr305dx i LOVE mine and it is cheeper that the btbs and imo better.

ShelBel 09-18-2004 05:25 PM

I'm gonna give 'em (the SRs) a try when I'm there, if I can. I'm not fond of the shape of them, but I suppose if I like how they play/sound, that's pretty arbitrary.

thelowsoundofbass 09-18-2004 05:29 PM

they fit really nice to your body, and are light for a fiver.

ShelBel 09-18-2004 05:35 PM

I'll have to see how they fit around "the girls", if ya know what I mean. :D

madthumbs 09-18-2004 05:46 PM

Radiobass81 09-18-2004 05:47 PM
ShelBel: You could also try out a Wal...
LOL! Obsessed much? ;) Haven't seen one yet, though I'm off to see what i can dig up on 'em. Tell me more.

Radiobass81 09-18-2004 05:52 PM

Haven't seen one? How do you live?!?

Me and Panda Licker (for some oddbal reason) are suddenly in a G&L vs. Wal fight; the thread has tons of Wal pics, let me get a link.

There we go :).

ShelBel 09-18-2004 06:09 PM

Wow. They are really nice looking; some very unique ones. Honestly, though- I really need to stick to a $300- $600 range. And $600 is REALLY pushing it (hubby would KILL me if I went any higher than that).
