i love KIMB, RIP, PS. PS was my first, and is iconic. they never did another like it, its a strange but genius album. dave/Marty use some v. strange scales in it.
my last words, PS and WUD are my fav songs on it, but they are all awesome.

but i like every Megadeth album really, apart from Risk.

Drone 03-28-2006 02:05 PM

Chris Poland played the other lead guitar on Peace Sells, not Marty Friedman.

Lord Sabbath 03-28-2006 02:30 PM

Megadeth rule, any news on the new album?

marc man 03-28-2006 02:31 PM
I prefer RIP over all their albums.
hmm, I think count down to extenion was a pretty good ablum.

Chu 03-28-2006 04:39 PM

Yeaargh! So Far, So Good... So What!?

Aw3someman 03-28-2006 05:40 PM

I think the top 3 are PS...BWB RiP and CtE. I can't put them in order b/c they all kick uncomprehendable ass.

Peace Sells, Rust in Peace, and Killing is my Business are always changing constantly as my favorite Megadeth cd's.

Aw3someman 03-28-2006 05:44 PM

I like the songs on CtE more than KIMB

Over_The_Mountain 03-28-2006 10:17 PM

Is there going to be another Gigantour this year or was that just a one time thing?

Crysiss 03-28-2006 10:19 PM

^ I was thinking that too

E sharp 03-29-2006 12:14 AM

i don't really like the second part of polaris.. the first part is excellent i love the riffs.

marc man 03-29-2006 01:20 AM

I really like polaris, but now, i really can't listen to it.

Rattlehead 03-29-2006 01:42 AM

i love rip. the whole song is full of brilliant erratic riffs, it's great.

Bazarov 03-29-2006 01:46 AM

For a while, that was my favorite song on that album. But Tornado of Souls is my new favorite.

.:Thrasher:. 03-29-2006 01:47 AM

I love RIP

great album that

I dunno I liked the second part. Just the "solo" let it down.

marc man 03-29-2006 03:14 AM

Yeah, this thread should be re-named "rust in peace....thread" or somthing like that.

There's a gigantour 2 website and Dave posted that the G2 lineup will be announced shortly

nah, KIMB was equally brilliant - see LDTC, Rattlehead. and it was their debut album, so...fitting!

I hope it comes over to Europe.

Rattlehead 03-29-2006 03:45 PM

imagine if Mustaine had stayed with 'tallica... i mean the individual bands have come out with fantastic stuff, but it would be interesting to have seen what would have happened with the mustaine element in 'tallica.

MegaMustaine 03-29-2006 03:49 PM

Am I the only one who loves Megadeth but really doesn't enjoy Peace Sells that much? Everyone says its great, but I prefer RIP greatly to it. I love Megadeth though, and imo Metallica+Mustaine>Metallica+Kirk

Drone 03-29-2006 03:51 PM

Do not talk about that. If I had to answer that, though, I would say that they would have stayed more technical and had better solos :P. It's hard to say for sure because Megadeth was mainstream for awhile too.

Hell yes, you guys heard Power Metal/No Life 'Til Leather?

Kill 'em All at 2x the speed :o

Bazarov 03-29-2006 04:58 PM

I've always wanted to hear what those demos sounded like.
imagine if Mustaine had stayed with 'tallica... i mean the individual bands have come out with fantastic stuff, but it would be interesting to have seen what would have happened with the mustaine element in 'tallica.
Dave probably wouldn't have stood for no solos and the music on St. Anger.

Chu 03-29-2006 05:01 PM

There is a site that has both demos available for download.. I'll look for it now.

The lead work, imo, is a step above what Kirk does on the Kill 'em All recording.

Edit: I really cannot find it :X

Bazarov 03-29-2006 05:10 PM

Hmm.. well I'll search around for it. And if I find it, I shall post it.

Wellp, neither can I.
