lol

how can tom think that after disappointing everyone with we don't need to whisper, he can outdo (+44) on the release date of their album, with a song no different than anything on his album? : /

which actually sucks.

Does anyone else really hate the Man Overboard video?

It's my favorite song by them, but the video just....sucks.
Even me, having an immature sense of humor thinks it's dumb.

Surtr 11-14-2006 08:14 PM

I can't recall the Man Overboard video.

In other news, WYHSB is awesome.

Weatherman is a wicked song too, a grow'er for sure.

MattSharpIsCool 11-14-2006 09:29 PM

Man Overboard is all of the videos for their Enema singles pieced together, but with midgets instead of Mark, Tom, and Travis. I greatly enjoy it.

I just listened to the new AVA song, and its pretty good. Tom Delonge writing an extended instrumental? I love it! The song builds up nicely throughout that instrumental at the start, and then moves into some nice lyrics.
it's so boring, i turned it off after a minute or so.

no lyrics?
There are lyrics, you just have to get about 4 minutes into the song.

DJ Ducksauce 11-14-2006 09:47 PM

I like the new song as well. The intro repeats at some places a few times more than it needs to, but overall it's a decent song.

Bad Blood 11-15-2006 03:07 AM

bad brains lol

i'll give it another listen later.

for most AVA songs it's taken a few listens to get into it.

10571z 11-15-2006 04:14 AM

There new song is half way through... I thought the intro was pretty awsome nice vibe.. But wtf UAH WAYYY UAHHE oH... overall its my fav AVA song but still ****.. so that sums up how much i like AVA

Untitled 11-15-2006 04:35 AM

Just listened to that song, i have to say it bored me.

It wasn't worth turning of Boy Kill Boy to listen to it. Im upset now.

Virus278 11-15-2006 11:28 AM

I can't get the song to play for more than 10 seconds without it stopping for about 10 seconds. Is AVA's myspace page the only way to here the song?

Bad Blood 11-15-2006 11:57 AM

add it to your page and then listen to it.

Surtr 11-15-2006 04:36 PM

That song isn't great but it's ok.

Not worth changing your music to it though.

10571z 11-15-2006 09:24 PM

Ahh Tom Delonge where did he loose his way? Do you actually think he knows how unpopular AVA is. I mean when AVA came from melbourne they played at festival hall where blink 182 played. The thing is it didnt sell out and still had mosh tickets avaible on the night. But when blink 182 came around it sold out in 10 minutes i think. It must give him some idea of the fans thoughts

Sturmabteilung 11-15-2006 10:29 PM

yeah how gay

Sturmabteilung 11-15-2006 10:29 PM

I was gonna go to that AVA show, but then I saw the ticket price, I can't remeber what it was, but I remeber thinking it wasn't worth it.
I HAD TICKETS TO THAT SOLD OUT BLINK CONCERT, BUT MY ****IN' GRANDMA HAD TO HAVE HER FUNERAL THAT NIGHT DIDN'T SHE!?
That's so disrespectful... but c'mon, blink!

I AM A TROJAN VIRUS LOL 11-16-2006 12:38 AM

I didn't even get invited to my Grandmother's funeral. True story.

poo-poo-pee-pee 11-16-2006 05:25 AM

Just so you know, I'm glad I went to the funeral, and I loved my grandmama, but it was just a major inconvinience that it was on the same night as the blink show, which I just happened to have tickets for, haha.

Anyways...
Woo, BLINK!
Woo, (+44)!
Woo, AVA...

10571z 11-16-2006 06:52 AM

It's really wierd with age im really starting to like the "newest" blink album alot and starting to get over there old stuff. At the time i was sorta upset that they didnt do another quick fun pop punk album but now i realize how good there newest album actually is.

Oz Rembrandt 11-16-2006 04:01 PM

+44 are pretty cool, but I can't get into AVA. Tom's voice annoyed me with Blink, but at least Mark was there...

(+44) on Letterman performing "When Your Heart Stops Beating". Travis is a drumming machine!

Bad Blood 11-16-2006 04:50 PM

haha what a legend.

Untitled 11-16-2006 04:57 PM

That was a pretty sweet proformance.

Whats going on with travis? does he had a snare hooked up to a foot pedal? its how it sounds.

chumpradio 11-16-2006 04:58 PM

I think it's an electric sample of a snare, and when he presses a foot trigger, it makes the recorded snare sound.
That's what I'm guessing anyway.

Untitled 11-16-2006 05:04 PM

Yeah.

he does something with his foot to make a snare noise.

I wanna see them live now!

I hope they play Manchester academy, i mean seeing the hoppus in there would own SO hard, and the chances of meeting him are very high after wards.

But, itll be the Apollo i bet :(

Aye. I hate the Apollo, the only proper place in Manchester I like is the Academy. The MEN is only good for bands who suit giant arenas, like the Foo Fighters.

Foo Fighters, Muse, Green day, all did great in the MEN.

(well, i saw foo's at the cricket ground and owned it, so they would the MEN)

But otherwise, i agree.

bottlerocket 11-16-2006 09:57 PM

definitely, thats a really good performance. i was curious as to how travis' setup works with only one arm. i heard mark and travis on LoveLine and travis was explaining, it but now that i can visualize it.....

really cool.

MattSharpIsCool 11-16-2006 10:34 PM

I need to go get my tickets before they're all gone.

Which could very easily be the case, already.

bottlerocket 11-16-2006 10:50 PM

Thanks for uploading it for me. :D

/enjoying it now

10571z 11-17-2006 06:44 AM

Travis simply has a bass drum pedal with a snick on it hitting a snare someone told me. But that really is an amazing effort he did congrats

The Chemist 11-17-2006 07:44 AM

a snick, eh?

it's a new instrument i suppose

Haha.

Yeah, that's all it is, it's not even slightly complicated.

Virus278 11-18-2006 04:48 AM

Omg, Tom’s new song is one of the best songs I’ve ever heard!…

The new song really sux. Tom said it would be really great and even though he always says stuff like that I believed him because he said that he was serious this time. I mean, it was just like every song on the album. He came up with some electronic tune, repeated it about 1000 times, and then he threw in some vocals just for the sake of having vocals. The only difference between this song and the songs on the album is that this song is like 8 minutes long. I don’t know where the quote is but didn’t he say something like it had like 3 different parts that “took u up and down” or something like that? 3 parts: 1.Four minutes of the same electronic pattern 2.Chanting like a retard 3.Throwing in some decent lyrics. I guess he just thought this song was really epic just because he made this one 8 minutes long.

- ooh, look what I found:

Atom Willard‘s blog from February 2006:

“Today, I walked into to Tom’s studio to talk to him about the new album but when I got there he was just standing there with his eyes closed flapping his arms up and down really slowly while humming. I called his name a couple of times to get his attention and finally he took notice of me. I told him that I needed to talk to him about the new album but he told me to hold on because he had to get something. I waited for a couple of minutes and finally he came back carrying 2 toy laser guns and wearing one of those fighter pilot jackets. He handed me one of the guns and told me to make believe that we were exploring a dangerous alien planet in the year 3263. I told him to stop messing around, that I really needed to talk to him. Tom just stared at me and after about 5 seconds he lifted his gun and started shooting it at me. I grabbed the gun from him and said very forcefully that I REALLY needed to talk to him. Tom just started to stare at me again looking deeply offended. Then, Tom started to stomp his feet up and down while twirling his arms like a windmill and speaking very loudly in some weird language: GLEEP ORG GLOP TOOS BACH (I later found out that this was a language Tom was making up…(he never finished it)). I finally became really fed up so I just walked out of his studio. As I walked down the hall I could hear him continuing to stomp and yell…

- at this rate I don’t think we’ll ever get the album finished”

EDIT: I just listened to the song again and it’s not that bad. It’s actually pretty catchy and uplifting. Tom just made it out to be really epic but it was just another one of his really simplistic formats so it kind of let me down and annoyed me.

Nothing new learned here. Tom is an retarted alien (With a flanger obsesion) , we've already figured this out since the start of AVA.

Triangle 11-18-2006 11:05 AM

Could you post the uploaded link please?

bottlerocket 11-18-2006 11:15 AM

Hahahaha, Tom's a crack head!

Surtr 11-18-2006 11:43 AM

I have no idea whether to believe that or not. Because it's so completely true, that it can't be true.
