I'm back at home and out of surgery. I'm not feeling 100% right now, though, and I thought I would be. I have to update the thread and then take a break before I pass out again. My spelling is probably not very good because I feel ridiculous. Not in a bad way, but not in a very good way either.

I hope everyone else is doing alright. Sorry for any errors in spelling. I'm definitely not 100% right now though.

:/

Well at least the surgery is over and done with.

Get healthy, bud.

CemetaryGates9 06-08-2005 12:13 PM

Hey Jom.

I'm glad the puppy is back

I didnt see any errors.
For whenever you see this: Have you heard any stuff by Johnny A?
I just heard my first Johnny A a few nights ago on a mix CD from my uncle. He's quite the tasteful player. Great tone, too.

I do more every day to increase my association with everyone involved with Steve Vai, apparently. :p The funny thing is, I'm not the biggest fan of his music, I just hold a lot of respect for him.

Lord Abortion 06-08-2005 12:48 PM
I'm considering reading The Guide, but not yet. There's a long waiting list. Currently I'm trying to read Stephen King books. Munky Magic, was your old user title a reference to Desperation?
seriously.. the short stories own all
try
the langoliers( four past midnight)
the mist, the raft, the jaunt (skeleton crew)
the long walk, (can't remember what book it's in)
I can't remember more...tell you later
the best ones bar pet semetary and the shining(owns the film except jack nicholson's performance- kubrick screwed that book up)

Hey, is munky pretending to be offline, or is he really off? Why do people even do that, anyway?

He's pretty amazing. He did a guest section in a guitar magazine and I was just

 Oh, there you are.

Yeah, he's sweet. I kind of like the stuff Favored Nations puts out: it's really the furthest thing from a wank club than you'd expect, considering Vai heads it.

ATM 06-08-2005 12:56 PM

If I upload something I recorded yesterday, would you guys check it out?

Cain 06-08-2005 12:58 PM
If I upload something I recorded yesterday, would you guys check it out?
I'll have to listen to it later, but sure.

EDIT: I need a less monochromatic avatar. There's too much black-and-white with all the other monochromatic avatars and the mxtabs skin for me to handle.

Bartender 06-08-2005 01:00 PM
Hey, is munky pretending to be offline, or is he really off? Why do people even do that, anyway?
It's kind of useful for mods, otherwise, I don't know :)

EDIT: And yeah, I've noticed a sudden surge of black and white avatars recently. Even though I don't use the mxtabs skin, I'm having trouble telling some people apart.

I think he's just got a broad ear for music and talent.

Hope you get well soon, dude. Any spelling errors are forgiven, don't worry. Glad to see your old school avatar back

I don't get it, AH...what did you have surgery for?

/has had two knee surgeries and an appendix removal so I at least know what it's like to undergo surgery

Jom 06-08-2005 01:44 PM

This was my synopsis for the regs in another thread:
Choda: I don't think I've talked about the surgery. It's nothing major or anything. Basically, I had to go in and get a portion of my toe (and consequently its toenail) removed because it got infected really, really badly.

I am now on drugs and am a bit loopy, since my spelling is probably really poor right now.

I'll tell the whole story later. I'm just not 100% yet. My foot is a disgusting yellow from all the iodine though :(
So, yeah, story later. Focus isn't particularly sharp right now.

Hang on, I'll take a picture. Not of the toe itself, but of the wrap job and the swelling :-\

Shred Danson 06-08-2005 01:47 PM

 Take a picture of the toe!

Lord Abortion 06-08-2005 01:48 PM

crap, man... that must hurt like hell

Illmatic 06-08-2005 01:48 PM

Ohhh yeah. I remember hearing about it, and I think you even posted a picture.

Anyhow, I think I may be contractually obligated to say that you have a "wuss" injury :p (note: please check the smiley; I'm only kidding around here)

Bartender 06-08-2005 01:53 PM

You've all had too much surgery :-/

Illmatic 06-08-2005 01:54 PM

I've had a laundry list of sports injuries...

torn ACL
torn PCL
torn MCL
broken wrist
strained oblique (or maybe it was pulled? I don't remember)
plantar fasciitis
strained elbow ligaments

those are the ones I remember the most, at least.

Shred Danson 06-08-2005 01:55 PM

I got my broken collarbone frm riding BMX. I'm so extreme. Didn't have surgery, though.

ATM 06-08-2005 01:55 PM

I've broken my arm four times, my leg, and my nose. My nose never properly healed so it's still messed up.

superpeer 06-08-2005 01:55 PM

I've had surgery. :)

Yeah same, first time i ever went snowboarding, fell like 20 ft down the hill, and it broke. Like actually broke, it wasnt connected at all anymore.

Six Foot Revolver 06-08-2005 01:55 PM

Only thing remotely close to surgery was when I got my finger slammed in a door and all I got for that was stitching

I've never had any serious injuries. Only absolute non-injuries (grazes, cuts, etc) and things that seem to have the potential to be really, really bad, but haven't been so far.

Illmatic 06-08-2005 01:56 PM

Oh, man, when I was like 9, I was in a Wal-Mart and I went to take a piss. I swear to god, the restroom doors have concrete walls. I was in a hurry, and I slammed the door behind me, but still had my middle finger in it, and it hurt for like 2 weeks. The fingernail came off after a week, it was awesome.
