i agree with a lot of math being tought that doesnt need to be. i mean all i remember is +,-, dividision, and all the basic stuff.

LoneStarDrummer 10-19-2005 11:49 PM

drummer54

that's a good point. i can go on for hours talking about drums, or music in general. the stuff they're teaching us in calculus is absolutely insane. that's why it feels so good to actually understand it, unlike my first test.

anyways as far as talking about drums/music in general, my sister's boyfriend knows a lot about rock music and he and i can get to talking about it for quite some time. to bad he's not a drummer because i'd go on forever.

Brokensticks 10-19-2005 11:50 PM

I know theres no way i'm going to remember all this stuff and i'm only in grade 9 lol. Does anyone have any good user names??? I was thinking of changing mine it's not very creative seeing as we are all drummers....

Double Bass Jim 10-19-2005 11:52 PM

Lemme give ya an idea... Pre-algebra course in 9th grade I managed to get a 9% Bastards made me go to summer school to make the credit up :( Haha I never had a summer off once.

LoneStarDrummer 10-19-2005 11:54 PM

drummer54
you think your user name is bad, check out mine. i came up with it at about 2 in the morning one day. i'd been reading the forums for several months and one night i decided to become a member and that's the best i could come up with.

as you can see it's not very good. i was real tired at the time.

Double Bass Jim 10-19-2005 11:55 PM

Haha I never tryed at all though, I lucked out the next year... Had a teacher that I talked baseball with, I never did jack and I got an 86%

i had a 7% in comm tech last year. hated the class, all because of the teacher. he's actually the worst teacher in the school, and each year he announces his retirement, and for the 4th year in a row, he's come back. i had him today as a substitute for english, god the guy reads slow. think of spok reading a book in slow motion. it took an hour to read 23 pages. with our normal teacher, it would have taken half an hour at most.

LoneStarDrummer 10-19-2005 11:56 PM

DBJ

man no offense but that's horrible. at least your drumming skill and overall personality makes up for your lack of math skill.

Double Bass Jim 10-19-2005 11:57 PM

Yea the teacher I had was a real pud, I hated the guy... And basicly told em everyday I was in class that I did infact hate him.

Tim 10-19-2005 11:57 PM

i slept in geology every day(1st period) and never had to do anyhtign at all. i think i turned 1 quiz in and i failed it and he passed me with a C becuase " i was the only student that never gave him any problems". you can see why huh. :D

Seafroggys 10-19-2005 11:58 PM

9%? I didn't know such was possible, honestly......

well goes to show that math scores has no correlation with real life ass kickedness....

Double Bass Jim 10-19-2005 11:58 PM

Haha yes indeed, that kinda stuff always works man.

Brokensticks 10-19-2005 11:59 PM

Lol i'm not like that though, I could never get a C I would hate myself lol I'm used to A's mostly and some B's but I don't try..... Anyways I still need User Name suggestions.

Double Bass Jim 10-20-2005 12:00 AM

Ahh I just wanted to pass hahaha, my family used to cheer when they saw my report card with no F's on it... No joke either.

Tim 10-20-2005 12:02 AM
Ahh I just wanted to pass hahaha, my family used to cheer when they saw my report card with no F's on it... No joke either.
i got a lecture for C's. which is total bs. C is average baby.

i remember getting an F and explaining to my mom why i got it, goodtimes.

Brokensticks 10-20-2005 12:03 AM

Awesome if I get a B my mom asks why.... Its very stupid and my brother doesn';t get too great of grades and my mom wonders what happens when I get a B I guess you can be the good looking one and the smart one.

Seafroggys 10-20-2005 12:03 AM

my mom would get pissed at me if I had any Cs on my report card...and holy crap my final semester I got a D in Advanced Physics.....luckily I was already graduated and stuff when I got the card, so she wasn't....too terribly mad

Double Bass Jim 10-20-2005 12:05 AM

IMO schools more of an "experience education" rather then academic learning at least for me. You learn how to deal with people and situtations thats whats it's all about. As far as learning anything? I didnt learn much at all from school. Learning to deal with people and working with them is what school really helps with. A new situation happens everyday with a large mix of people like that.

Oh yea and I got busted many a time trying to "edit" my progress reports hahah. My parents knew I was fulla shit though so it never worked.

Seafroggys 10-20-2005 12:08 AM

yeah my best friend would scan his report card and alter the grades and stuff, we even forged signatures for each other, it was great

Japan3gro 10-20-2005 12:09 AM

Haha speaking of grades I think I can pass with 3 B's and a C this semester. Or 2 B's and 2 C's lol. I dunno I'm pretty much a slacker.

Double Bass Jim 10-20-2005 12:09 AM

Haha good times, that kinda stuff is great.

Der Meister 10-20-2005 12:09 AM

Double Bass Jim 10-20-2005 12:12 AM

LoneStarDrummer 10-20-2005 12:20 AM

i'm a freshman in college now.

and no i'm not a schoolboy. i just started actually studying this year. i don't even really know how to study. just the other day when i was studying physics, i came up with a coordination exercise using both feet and both hands. i also keep getting rush songs stuck in my head when i study.

Japan3gro 10-20-2005 12:21 AM

and your done.

If you link me to the original. I'll resize it for you if you want.

Brokensticks 10-20-2005 12:28 AM
