cut hair DIY, anyone, i want some good advices for a curly hair... and yes i have it big nuff
|
I have a jewfro. Never cut it man, unless you get lice, then it really is easier to wait two years for it to grow back than to nuke it and comb through the tangly bastard.
|
Do you look like Bob Dylan, Eran?
|
He would be so much cooler if he looked like Bob Dylan.
|
I did my groceries..totally diy..from the money i earned..yeah diy..and drove home from gas i paid for...DIY

Hell yeah, I was listening to him loads today when I was working with my friend. I've been really getting into Arlo Guthrie as well lately. He's hotter than Bob Dylan. |

That's way tight. I need to try that.
|
That's 'cos it was silkscreened.

yer silk screening is brilliant, you just have to cut the stencil well, then do the process. theres not much that can go wrong, and you dont get any annoying things like underspray

You don't even have to cut a stencil out. If you get some acetate and photocopy the pic you want onto it in black and white, then you do some exposing-y thing with some bright light, and you can print out anything, no cutting out involved, which means you get cool stuff that's full of "islands". Jonni knows the process properly. |

yer true, i've seen that done at school alot, but i dont feel confident enough to try it myself and i don't think that i can do the light thing at home. I'm going to try it for my next art project and then I should be able to do it for tee shirts which will be cool |

I'm intersted in doing this instead of cutting stencils out, that way I can do more complicated ones. What is acetate and where do you get it?, and can someone explain or find a website with instructions to do the exposing thing? Here is some stuff i've done recently with stencils and acrylic paint. They're all patches, apart from the red one which is a t-shirt. The first one one didn't come out too well, because my cat jumped on it when it was drying and fucked it up. Those look pretty good. Nice job.
|
I really like the idea of this stencil but I'm nowhere near happy with the way it looks.

I think the name should be more involved with the picture, if you know what I mean. Right now it looks like a caption contest or something.

I see what you mean. Maybe like the words curved around the top or something? |

:) I have this elaborate plan for a DIY stage lighting/pyro rig, all controlled by midi footswitches. how I love having access to a metal & wood workshop whenever I want. I might take another course at my college when this one finishes just for the facilities. |
